Last week, We ordered two large earl grey tea with grass jelly and lychee jelly, however when we got home, there is no lychee jelly in the drink. There was Lychee jelly on the label only but nothing in the drink. I was thinking to call up the store but didn’t. But after tonight’s experience I will have to write a review. Tonight at around 8pm, my partner made the same order via the self service screen, however the young girl at the store gave us the drink without grass jelly, she did not even inform the customer there is no grass jelly and didn’t check if we want another topping since grass jelly is out. She initially refused to remake give a 2nd topping, after some more arguments, she finally agreed to add a topping but she picked up a dirty knife from sink, pierced through the seal then tried to pour the drink to another cup and add topping that way. That is disgusting and unhygienic (risk of food positioning) and the girl has poor customer service. Requested her to make complete new ones but she again argued that it’s the same thing. After a few more arguments, eventually she agreed to re make new ones but she only gave us minimum amount of toppings. Terrible experience. I do not recommend this store. There are some some hygiene issues and the staff has very poor...
Read moreI would have given a negative rating if I could. The Chatime Wentworth Point store, by far, is the worst I’ve experienced at any milk tea store in all of Australia! Previously, they made my taro milk tea with cold water instead of hot water. I don’t know how they came up with that recipe—trying to dissolve taro powder in cold water—which ended up lumpy and undrinkable.
I decided to give them another go, which was a big mistake! I ordered their most BASIC milk tea, the Premium Milk Tea. The staff literally just did three steps: put in pearls, added liquid cream, and filled it with tea – and that was it! I was shocked, literally shocked! So, I asked him, “This doesn’t seem like a Premium Milk Tea to me,” and he took it from my hand and just said, “This is the correct one, just shake it!”
I’m not sure if they’re underpaid by the owner, super lazy, or lack proper training, but not only did I waste my money on a drink that tasted really bad (I ended up throwing it away), I also wasted 15 minutes waiting for this terrible drink. Am I as a customer expected to do his job for him and shake the drink?
I highly, truly recommend they shut down the store rather than embarrass the...
Read moreBy far the rudest customer service experience. There was one single staff (a young Asian lady) working today (21st Jan Tuesday 2025). We ordered two drinks and the first drink the tea was sold out so this was replaced which was fine but the second drink we ordered was the new mango matcha drink (which comes with the star jelly). The drink that was made was a mango fruit tea and when we asked if there should have been matcha there she didn’t even apologise for not making the correct drink despite us waiting a long time to receive the incorrect drink. When she remade the drink it was with pearls instead of star jelly and just as we were about to ask if there should have been mango popping pearls instead she immediately gave us attitude cutting us off many times and complaining about how we were being rude when we only simply pointed out that she made the wrong drink. As a customer service staff she should be the one to apologise for 1) making us wait so long 2) making several mistakes. Instead she continues to be angry because she could not keep up with orders. Her incompetence is not the customers’ fault. Owner of this franchise should be mindful of what kind of staff you hire....
