As a member of another beekeeping association further south I can say that this association is top class. I have visited for talks, for open days and even took a bunch of newbie beekeepers up there for an event. I was very impressed with the hexagonal meeting space with library, shop, honey shed and the quality of the guest speakers each time I have been there is excellent. The apiary is wonderful. There are examples of many types of hives - not just the traditional Langstroth - but also 'newer' less known types such as the Kenyan Top Bar. They also have native stingless bee hives (TC's) and one member brought in their Hockingsi to show the difference between TC's and TH's. I have also always felt very welcomed there.
