Best cafe around. Their coffee is consistently great. It doesn’t matter how busy it is or who’s working the espresso machine, the coffee is great. Morning, Arco, week day or weekend it’s quality. I’ve been coming here for nearly 6 years and highly recommend this place to any newcomers, as well as to anybody who missed “the old team” before they “came home”. Back under the original owners, they gave this place a complete refurbishment in May this year, and with it came much welcomed food menu. Breakky and Lunch options both dine in and take away. Quality food, something for everyone, and great value. The only thing that outshines everything I’ve already mentioned is the amazing team who are friendly, professional and warm. They use Threepence beans, which is an excellent quality coffee bean… delightful silky milk, all skillfully made!
In most other cafes they use reheated milk (ie left over from the previous coffee), which butchers what would have been an exquisite coffee… but most coffee shops use it, rather than tip it down the sink, so they save 10cents… and destroy a $5 coffee!?
So if your next coffee at your local, leaves a sour taste in your mouth, both literally and metaphorically, go to Crossing Espresso and get top...
Read moreA delightful cup of coffee and some fun specials. I didn't expect to find a burger on the menu of a coffee house, but it's welcome all the same.
The mushroom omelette was the winner winner for me: while the slice of sourdough on top seemed a little misplaced, the variety of mushrooms, fetta, and onions make this special a winner, and a perfect brunch choice alongside a large cappuccino.
You can sit in the sun here on a side street of Sutherland, and just enjoy the day. I wish they had a batch brew or cold brew, but it's still a great little place...
