The park lay out is great and the location is quiet and peaceful.
The big downfall is the children's play equipment. There doesn't seem to be much thought put into the construction in relation to age requirements.
We have a small size slippery dip for the little ones, yet the ladder they need to climb up with has wide spread rungs and no hand grips?
The structure is a good 2 meters above the ground in places and there is no sides to protect the children from going over the side, I am surprised of no broken bones reported?
Then to join both areas together they use an aluminium plank suspended by chains covered in rubber. It is a good activity but still a dangerous one without some form of hand rail that could be strung along about the half way height.
Safety first was a bit lacking in the overall here.
They also have a sign up that states No Dogs within 10 meters of the playground, yet the main walk path is about 3-4 meters...

You have a great little boat ramp and wharf onto Oatley Bay which also has toilets. There is a concrete walking path from the park to the boat ramp. The park is beautiful with plenty of parking facilities. It has tables and chairs also there’s BBQ’s. There’s a children’s playground also. There’s a small exercise equipment area for those inclined to. There’s a good walking path that’s also good for pushing wheelchairs. There’s also a fenced area where you can let your dog off the leash completely with taps to fill up bowls for dogs. Very popular on the weekends with people with dogs and runners, also people using the boat ramp. It’s beautiful and would definitely recommend....
Read moreThis is a beautiful little spot located near south Hurstville and Oatley with a lovely little park and a small children's playground suited for younger children. The walk around the area is really lovely and green but the wetlands area really needs so work done to it as it looks like a severe fire hazard! The dog park is lovely with generally friendly people there and it is nicely sheltered by trees and a fence that will keep most dogs in. The dog park has a water tap to give your dog fresh water and there's another tap located just outside the dog park as well. There is also an outside exercise area free to the public and plenty of paths for you to ride your bike or scooter I love coming to this place for walks...
