During my Australia trip I have been and have stayed at quite a few campsites that were priced the same amount as this campsite. I am specifically pointing this out as there were a few issues that could easily be improved or changed. First, the amenities as such were ok, could have been cleaner as there were still stains on the bathroom doors (see picture below) and some dirt in between the toilet bowl and the toilet seat (see picture). Another issue in the bathroom was that, at least in the female bathrooms, the light where the showers are wasn't working so it was pretty dark there (see picture). Additionally, the water turned warm to some extent but could have easily been a bit warmer as the wind keep blowing through it, since there was no closing door for the bathrooms (see picture). Second, I got an issue with the handling of the WiFi on this campsite. I get that a campsite may charge for WiFi but in this day and age WiFi can be counted as a necessity and charging for an hour of having WiFi might be a bit much; especially since the WiFi only works in the cooking area of the campsite. I would easily pay a daily rate of the WiFi if it was available within the complete campsite. Nevertheless, what I can praise about the whole WiFi situation is that my friends and I were able to get our money back for the WiFi codes that we didn't use. Third, when checking in at the campsite we were shown where we should park our motorhome. Parking was a bit tricky as the campsite spot was rather small even though the owner had seen the motorhome and we had told them beforehand about the size of it. Fourth, again when checking in, we were given a map which showed us the way to the train station. That information was useful; however, to use the public transport you will need to buy an Opal card beforehand. The owner pointed out to us that we could buy it at 7/11 or at the Post Office close to the train station. The problem in this case was that at the post office they did not have any Opal Cards but at the opposite site of the street we managed to get them. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding, but I just wanted to point that out. Additionally with the map, there is a McDonald's drawn in, which looks to be right next to the train station, yet again, this is not the case. The McDonald's is about 700m further down the street. Lastly, this doesn't respond directly to the park, but towards the replies on negative feedback here on google. Whoever answers those, seems to straight up deny everything everyone tells them about their campsite. However, if I was that person, who responds to those comments, I would start thinking about the responses they get from their visitors/customers and change a few things in order for the reviews...

For a campground in Sydney, this place is incredibly affordable. We stayed on an unpowered site in a tent for just $40 per night.
Overall impression: Great location â around 15 minutesâ walk to the nearest station and close to the airport.
Facilities: The kitchen is well-equipped with gas stoves, ovens, microwaves, fridges, kettles, and toasters. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor areas around the kitchen to sit, rest, or eat. Toilets and showers are abundant, but many have weak water pressure, lukewarm water, or overly high water-saving taps that are hard to use â especially for shorter people. Some showers also operate on a 5-minute timer, which feels very rushed if you donât shower quickly.
Laundry: Laundry facilities are solid â washers and dryers operate on $1 coins (around $4 per cycle). Wash time is about 35 minutes, and thereâs a good amount of space for air-drying clothes.
Cleanliness: The amenities are cleaned daily. However, if someone is using the facilities during the cleaning time, staff tend to skip cleaning that area â which raises the question: what if that happens every day?
One downside: Although we stayed in a tent, staff still asked us to move our tent because the grass underneath was âdying.â We understand this kind of policy for caravans or campervans, but relocating a whole tent setup â with gear â is not easy and felt a bit unreasonable.
Note for unpowered site users: The soil is extremely loose â whether itâs dry or wet â so itâs difficult to secure tent pegs properly. If youâre near the small gate area, the ground is also noticeably sloped, and you may find yourself rolling around while sleeping.
As winter approaches, the lukewarm water becomes a real issue for people who shower at night â youâll be shivering while trying to clean up. Thereâs no heat lamp in the bathrooms either, making showers quite unpleasant in cold weather.
In summary: If youâre not staying during winter, this could be a very comfortable and affordable spot. Just be aware that over 80% of the residents here are permanent, so the park feels more like a small local community than a...
Read moreWe stayed 3 nights to explore Sydney. We asked for a site away from other dogs or at the very end because we had trouble with on of our dogs who got recently attacked. The receptionist gave us a good spot for my pup at the very end so Iâm thankful for that! But I overheard another receptionist talking very rude to other customers who couldnât figure out how to open their rooftop tent on their unpowered site because of the very small sites so they had tu upgrade to power and we arrived after the Easter holidays but still had to pay holidays prices so Iâm sorry for them. The amenities where quit dirty and the motion detector in one of the women showers doesnât work - I learned that the hard way had no light half way through my shower very uncomfortable. WiFi is not really available you get 1 coupon for only one device for 1 h for free after that you have to pay for every other hour. We payed 60$ per night you should think youâll get WiFi there but I wasnât working on our site anyways just close to the reception. And the powered sites are very small as well as far as I could see all sites are very small but that might be due to the location. There is a off leash beach very close by and youâre very close to the centrum so...
