Via uber eats I ordered 1 kid’s bolognaise. I ask for a special request, to have the pasta and the sauce separated (kids are picky eaters). My request was delivered perfectly with seperate containers. Although my cousin (I was babysitting) had an issues with the food being in a container and wanted it put in a bowel. As I tipped the spaghetti into the bowel I notice a metal wire wedged into the spaghetti. I thank god my cousin is a picky eater and had to have a fit over the food being in a container and wanted it put in a bowel, because I don’t want to imagine what would have happened if he had ate the wire! I am horrified and still in shock! I can almost feel I ate the wire myself! I don’t know how this occurred but I’m praying it was just a simple accident and possible the wire was already sitting in the container and that someone forgot to check before putting the pasta in. I know it’s just 1 small thing but that 1 small thing could’ve been a trip to the hospital or even the loss of a little life. I urge this place to take extra care and be on high alert for these small mistakes.
Besides finding a wire in the spaghetti, the food was great. Large portions, could possibly feed two kids under the age of 7. Delicious! I had some left overs and it took me back to when my nonno would make me spaghetti bolognaise. 100% would order again for myself (Although unsure if the kids recipe is different to the main). Even my cousin liked it, and that’s saying something as his diet literally consists of potato chips.

Read moreWe booked for a Valentines dinner last night and as soon as we sat down, the first thing i noticed was how dusty the table, cutlery and the plates were, as evidently shown in the picture. I gave it the benefit of the doubt seeing how busy it was but first impressions matter and I had a feeling we were in for a ride.
Starting with the pros, the pizza and mocktail were actually good, definitely worth their price. No complaints in terms of the staff either, we were attended to promptly and for me thats good enough, but a smile would be nice.
Now the cons. The Seafood Basket was disappointing. Firstly, the amount of food on the plate was comparable to what you’d get from a kids meal, probably even less. For $23 you’d expect a lot more than just a handful of deep fried stuff that wasn’t slightly undercooked.
The real kicker was the Arancini, the taste was absolutely horrible and we didn’t even want to finish it. There were only 3 pieces on the plate and they were far smaller than a golf ball. If this dish is around $7 no one would bat an eye, but no, this costs $18…
It will be worth taking a second look at those prices and adjust them accordingly to their actual portions. This place also needs to get on top of their overall cleanliness, it will also be a good idea to check those arancini as they may be out of date at the...
Read moreWe have been going to La Piazza for well over a year now and have loved every single time we have gone. The food is always great and the staff are pleasant. Until tonight....
After ordering the Penne Al Forno and Chicken Porcini, we started to have dinner when my partner found 2 hairs in the pasta (IN the pasta, not ON it). I took one of the hairs to the pizza counter and spoke to the (we think he is) owner of the place. He told me that it wasn't a hair, but from one of the mushrooms in the dish. He gave us $3 off the total bill, are you kidding? So I went and told my partner so she got up with the second hair and showed him, and he came to our table to talk. He touched and looked at the hair on a napkin and said that it was from the mushroom again. My partner told him that she hasn't ever experienced hair on her mushrooms before. He touched the hair with a knife and then said that if the hair was cooked in the pasta it would have cream, sauce or something from the dish (implying that it wasn't even from the dish....). He concluded the talk with, "Next time, you should know what you are ordering." He came over, crossed the dish off the bill and said, "There its off, are you happy?"
Good job, you ruined one of our favourite places to go and guess what? It was YOUR own...
