I’d like to begin by expressing how incredibly disappointed I am with the customer service we received at your caravan park. My partner and I are a young couple who were simply passing through Tamworth for the first time, and sadly, our experience here has left a lasting negative impression.
Before we even arrived, I tried calling to make a booking and was left on hold for an extended period. When someone finally answered, the woman on the phone was rude and dismissive, which was already off-putting.
When we arrived in person, I went into reception and politely requested a drive-through site, as we have a large car and caravan setup and were only staying for one night. There were two staff members—one man and one woman—at the desk. Instead of simply helping us, they questioned why we would want a drive-through site. The man then made an inappropriate comment: “Oh, does your partner not know how to reverse a caravan?” and both staff members laughed.
This exchange made me feel completely disrespected and unwelcome. As young travellers exploring a new town, we were genuinely excited to be here, but this experience soured that feeling entirely. It’s unfortunate that what should have been a simple and enjoyable overnight stay has now become a negative memory associated with Tamworth.
We expected a much more professional and courteous level of service, and sadly, based on this experience, I would not recommend this caravan park to others.

Suggesting I was just “having a bad day” is unnecessary and dismissive. I was actually in a great mood until I arrived at your park and was met with a condescending tone and a lack of basic courtesy. Being told I had a “short vibe” when I was simply direct—and then accused of being blunt and dismissive—feels like an attempt to deflect rather than take any responsibility.
You may receive many positive reviews, but that doesn’t excuse poor treatment of individual guests. I was clear in what I was asking for and was met with sarcasm, not genuine customer service. Just because you “deny” that I was laughed at doesn’t erase my experience. You don’t get to decide how your tone or behavior landed.
I gave you the benefit of the doubt despite the chaotic start when I couldn’t get through on the phone, but the way I was treated in person made it clear this wasn’t about me having a bad day—it was about how I was made to feel unwelcome...

I called the available number and a staff member came out handed the key to me and when I asked where the villa is located she told me 'I don't know. I don't keep that information in my brain'. ||||Riverview Villa #26 is set right beside the main road and away from all the other villas. It is dark, isolated, and noisy. Do not book this villa!!! The other villas would have been okay location but again they are away from the rest of the park and reception.||We were travelling in a group but booked separately and we were all located in cabins across the main road from each other as we didn't know the park was set up that way.||I shortened my stay by one night because of the reasons above. I explained to staff in writing at check out but was not given...
