What a great spot on the mighty Murray River. Quiet & peaceful. Caretaker's Rob & Wayne do a magnificent job, ensuring all is running smoothly & ready for a chat as well as a laugh. We loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. Potable water available and grey water drains on every site as well as a black water dump point near the amenities. Fire pits are spread out for your use.

Have to say the place itself was good apart from the cold showers and no toilet paper. The people who stay here on the other hand are nothing but selfish and very inconsiderate. The loudest generator I have ever heard going for hours. Nothing but pure disrespect for other people campers!!

This is a great spot. Town water, public toilet, bins, cold shower, dump point, fire pits scattered, walking distance to town, courtesy bus to the club and dog friendly (please pick up after your dog). Sites are 50 meters from the water all beach entry. Great spot!

Can be a bit of a contest for a site coming up to any weekend with decent weather, but I guess that’s just the nature of this low cost camping area.

Great proximity to town and all the attractions there. The four great pubs (the palms currently under renovation Oct 2025), the historic railway museum, the aerodrome museum and of course the Murray River.

The Brewery is a highlight for us and we just love lounging in the beer garden relaxing to tunes with a few choice ales.

Town beach is a great spot that offers something to those wanting to be at arms reach to the township without the need to have to drive everywhere. Courtesy buses can be called to your location and I to one of the pubs/clubs around town.

The spot is impacted by traffic noise, especially trucks, however that has never bothered me as I enjoy a bit of truck spotting anyway. All in all a great spot for an extended weekender, just prepare for it to be very busy on public holiday weekends and over...

We had a heavenly week here in November. Swimming in the river every day, fishing (further downstream where you are allowed to at this time of year). Walked into town most days, for coffee, amazing icecream, and lovely meals. Friendly locals, Information Centre with lots of ideas of things to see/do in the area...including the fabulous historic Byramine Homestead with on site microbrewery and fabulous food platters to enjoy out on the lawn. Rangers are friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers simple but clean. Dump point. Tap water...

Great spot but way too crowded to enjoy. Sad because the spot is great but too many bogans with generators who don't turn them off. Very sad as this could be a great spot. The town of Tocumwal on the other hand is charming and has so great coffee shops and eateries as well as a great ice cream shop. Get rid of the riff raff and it would be a great spot to spend some time. Great for dogs and deaf people who can't hear generators all night. A little more supervision would greatly enhance...
