What a surprise. We didn't expect the room to be so big when comparing to other motels. Very comfy. Had everything you needed including microwave and a good sized fridge. We asked for top floor so we could sit outside and enjoy the view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfy. Our stay here just enhanced our new love for Tocumwal. The Motor Inn is located well and close to the river, shops and park but quite. Would certainly stay again.||The only negative was a couple of cobwebs and the pool didn't seem to be very clear. Read moreI stayed here for a two-night min-break and wasn't disappointed. Very spacious room (I made it 30m2 inc bathroom) and a comfortable bed. Solar water heater on the roof meant that hot water came out the taps almost instantly (long dead legs are a pet peeve of mine). The motel is about a ten minute walk from the town centre (such as it is) but for a nicer walk turn right out of the motel, then walk down to the river and along it, fifteen minutes. Read moreI was travelling through town for work and had the blessing to bump into Claire and Jamie (owners of the motor inn) - they were both incredibly generous, kind and joyous with their offers for accomodation and to have a chat with. I only have positive words to describe their characters and presence.
I would encourage others visiting Tocumwal to seek their establishment for peace of mind and knowing that your in good hands from start to end of your stay. I would give 6 out of 5 stars if possible but, alas, 5/5...
