Achievement unlocked. Walked to the end of the pier and back again. About 800 or so metres. Interestingly the pier was longer and 239m of it was demolished in 1985. Adventure Level 10/10 Danger Level 0/10 (increases to 11/10 if done at night when rumours off a giant sea beast has been known to pluck the unwary of the jetty at night).

Every time I visit Hervey Bay I make sure to walk out here at least once, how could you not right? Plenty of others doing the same thing today on this beautiful Sunday. A bit choppy today so not sure if any of the fishermen caught anything. Do yourself a favour and walk to the end.

Great jetty to walk and view the sunset or sunrise. A pair of Osprey at the end of the jetty stealing herring from unsuspecting fishermen. Always some fisherman trying their luck and saw some mac tuna caught.
