If you haven’t visited this attraction in Perth, this is an ABSOLUTE MUST! we had the best time this morning. My toddler absolutely loved it and it was safe an enjoyable to hold my 7 month old in my arms. This was an absolute joy and we will absolutely be back. Shout out to Annemarie who sorted my tickets after I accidentally booked on the wrong day, what an absolute legend for swapping us over to a weekend we could attend. I love when things like that are easy especially for kids as life is unpredictable and my brain is dead. It just made everything so comfortable and we left feeling so happy. Would recommend getting to the Kent street Weir carpark a little early as parking fills up fast, there is overflow parking you can use but as we were leaving around 11:30 this was pretty much full. Trains run on time and the journey is about 15 mins long but you can go again and again if you like. Today there were four trains running so loads of opportunity to go on them and the turn around is amazingly fast. There is a great playground (needs a shade sail so bring your hat and sunscreen) and a cafe close by if you need a coffee or snacks. Lots of park area where you can have a picnic for the day. Such a wonderful...

The only downside I found is that the surrounding park was filled with unrestrained dogs (never seen so many in my life), even though there was a fenced off area specifically for them. The children's jungle Jim was great except for the portion that needed repairs and even though it had been fenced off some children had pulled down the barrier and started using it and it was very hard explaining to a 2 1/2 year old that it was unsafe & he couldn't go in...
Read moreThis is a nice day out if you have young ones. Suggest making a day of it with a picnic and have a train ride. The little trains are different, some petrol driven and some steam. Try to get the steam if possible. The blokes that operate it take it pretty seriously, like the real thing! It can get pretty busy, so expect a wait. The rides last about 15 minutes and from memory, cost about $6 for adults. Make sure you check where the trains depart from on the day you are going, as they alternate stations. There is also a kiosk that serves food also...
