Ambassador Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Cannington

ABSOLUTELY DISSCRACEFULL. !!!!Will never come here again after reading some of the reviews we decided to still give this restaurant a try even though there where many reviews on bad service , big mistake ! Myself my husband and my two boys made a booking for 7.30 when we arrived the service was pleasant we were seated and some prawn crackers where bought to the table, there was no mention of any food being unavailable. After waiting half an hour and noticing that people who had entered after us where being served all of which where of a similar culture aswell as sitting down and talking to people at tables my two boys where thirsty and not even a jug of water to the table was offered , I asked a passing waitress if we had to order at the counter or does someone come to the table as we had been waiting for half an hour she gave us a sour look and went and got a pen and notebook to take our order , as we where ordering our chosen dishes we where being told that there was no beef dishes at all available , then it was that no chicken dishes where available , then there was no pork available ! This didn’t leave us with many options and if this was the case why would this not be mentioned upon entry of the restaurant considering beef chicken and pork are the main dishes :0 her tone was rude the entire time and I felt as though I was being spoken down to . I honestly feel if I hadn’t of asked about being served we would of been waiting for possibly another hour ! . We are not from perth and travelled here to do some activities with our kids for the holidays so of course we had activities booked and paid for, for after dinner . This absolutely ruined our night ! We ended up leaving politely and she was rude and unapologetic. My boys where hungry it was after 8 by this point and we had to go to our activities before getting dinner . I honestly feel that this restaurant is racist and if I was perhaps another nationality instead of indigenous my treatment would of perhaps been a little better . Shame on this place ansolutely...

Terrible Ruined Our Night Booked a table for 4 at 645pm. Arrived on time and were seated. After 10 mins we asked if we could place our order but were told no as the kitchen was busy and they would come back and take our order in 30mins. We asked if we could get some spring rolls while we waited and we’re told no as the kitchen was busy. At this point I said can we just put our order in as we were only having four dishes and had decided what we wanted. As we waited patiently we watched multiple take away orders being picked up. We saw other tables being served their meals. At no point did a waitress approach us to offer anything or give us an update of delays. After an hour of waiting we asked when we would be served and we’re told we would be next. I wasn’t totally convinced so I asked how long approx it would take. The waitress went to the kitchen and came back and another 20. At this point it was 8 pm and we would still have to wait until at least 820, so we decided to walk out. I wish they had be honest and up front with us as we feel like we were being ignored. If they can’t cater for us don’t take our booking! I will definitively not go back we were treated poorly and ignored and given...

We ate here 30 years ago and it was so bad that we never returned until tonight. Been more than a few changes of ownership since then obviously. Anyway, we girded the loins and ventured back with nervous trepidation! Well, all I can say is what a difference 30 years makes. 🤣😂🤣😂! Tonight's meal was excellent value for money, as 2 couples had enough leftovers for tomorrow night's dinner. The quality was A-. One's expectations need to be in line with what one pays. The quality tonight far exceeded what the price suggests. The service was extremely polite and we never felt harried at any point. Time taken for the food to arrive at the table was testament to the fact that everything was cooked to order. Not to quick, not too slow. It will certainly not be another 30 years until our next visit! Thanks and congratulations to all involved. All 4 of us highly recommend this...
