Country museums have local bricabrack and old photos of local luminaries and that is part of their attraction.
This museum has all of that but is very well curated and displayed. It is hard to make a coherent message with so much clutter, but the displays are well laid out, well described and organised sensibly.
It does contain many artifacts that are interesting and unique to the area.
It also attempts to integrate some newer technologies into the displays, but were mostly not working. (They need to check their QR codes for accuracy as well)

   Read moreI could spend all day in this place. Well set out. Bigger than you think. There are really cool activities they have designed for kids, such as a scavenger hunt, as well.
There is something for every interest which is brilliant. Tools, textiles, social interests, First Nations awesomeness, arts, agriculture, trains, wildlife, domestic history⌠Itâs got so much to offer and you find something new every time you go back.
Their book collection is cool too. A great place to research.
