Haven't stayed in a caravan park cabin for a while and I can see why. The cabin we stayed in was nice, and I can see that they are made to be cleaned efficiently. There was nothing homely about the place with the supplies in the kitchen not giving us much freedom to cook. There were only a few utensils, a tiny frying pan and a few pots. The utensils were only metal, so we couldn't cook anything on the non-stick pan without ruining it. The beds are nice, but have stayed in beds that are a lot more comfortable. The single-use amenities provided could use an upgrade as the soap was practically useless. I could suggest having reusable soaps for guests which are good, and save costs, as well as the environment.
A couple of other notes: The light in the lounge area above the dining table didn't turn on, so we had to eat dinner in darkness. We had no reception in the cabin, so we were expecting at least free-wifi as you can get in other caravan parks.
Overall, the stay was affordable and an ok place to stay overnight. The area is nice, right next to the main road and next to the gorgeous lake. You can get more bang for your buck at more luxurious stays nearby. Otherwise, the staff were super accommodating, as we had to postpone our booking, so we thank them for being so kind and understanding of our...
Read moreLoved the location, the tourist park was nice but pity you can’t pick your neighbors. We were on the camping ground and unfortunately the neighbor that was next to the camping ground was absolutely awful. Yes that’s right cabin 305 … not only were they yelling and swearing so loud that the whole park could hear them that they decided that flicking the cigarette butts onto the camping ground was there dumping ground. Do I want to go back - hell no! Pity it’s affected the outcome of our stay over the long weekend. This is meant to be a family park but when you hear the amount of “c” & “f” words being used in every sentence it becomes a bit of a joke. Our children were mortified. What topped it off was when they lit up a cigarette every few minutes they would flick the butt while it’s still smoking into the camping ground which was near our tent. The only other issue I had was the charcoal bbqs people decided to light up near the camping grounds when it was a high wind area - common sense failed these people . Surrounded by bush and and you have morons lighting charcoal bbqs which will easily start a fire or burn down our tents. Other than...
Read moreArrived yesterday & had our 1st encounter with a toddler on bike, no helmet & no adult supervision. Trying to turn corner & he was sitting on the road & we nearly took him out with back of van. Then same toddler rode behind reversing van on site next to us. Leaving to go out to lunch & there could have been a fatality when same kid rode out from between cabins straight infront of our car & disappeared from site in front of our bonnet. Blasted horn but got abused by grandpa sitting on verandah saying we were in the wrong & going too fast. We were doing 8km an hour. Reported all this to lady in office who was going to ring the family. Just drove past the cabin they are staying in & 3 kids with no helmets & bikes on road plus a pram sitting in middle of road. If rules that are printed in your paperwork aren't going to be enforced I'm not going to stay again where a child fatality could very...
