Another magic spot - at first glance you might think this is a private campground- but no it has free public parking alongside the lake- with solid shade under a line of mature pine trees - a kids playground, several built picnic pavilions for family groups- and many trying a fishing line in the water (I’m told there’s none left).

Come early to grab a table- spend the day letting the kids play, parents can nap, and everybody goes home...

This place is super scenic! The spots along side the river areas are very crowded though. We went in summer so not sure how it will be in winter. The rivers edges were packed. The beach side, towards windang island is not so busy. However, this place has stunning shorelines and beautiful white-ish sandy beaches, so well...
