Lake Illawarra Hotel — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

I can definitively say some staff here have racist slurs to say to me. On a number of random times I was in there.

Unprofessional and rude. I've experienced on several occasions now.

I know for certain I have not been anything bad, but able to communicate well enough. Without being rude. Apologetic as well.

I've been sworn at one time by a staff just a few days ago for buying soft drink.

Just last night, as I went through a sliding glass door. I heard a staff utter a racist slur intended for me. From the bar. It was not the first time, too.

I was willing enough to have a conversation with a few of them, yet the unprofessional and rude treatment continues.

I don't think it is a mistake but...

Visited the Pub last week, wow what a great Job they have Done, nothing like the Old Windang Hotel. It looks fantastic and caters for all , big tab area , bottle shop , nice pokies area if ya into them. Massive play area for the kids. We were 5 adults and 4 kids under 10 and they loved it and we could see them from where we were sitting. The Dining Room is huge and comfy. The Food is good but i personally think the price point is a tad high. I had the steak sanga and it was good, the Wife had Bruschetta and it was to salty . 3.5 stars for the meal and 5 stars for the Hotel it really is well done. Heaps of parking out the back. We rocked up with about 15 from our photography group after visiting Nan Tien Temple nearby, and what a great surprise—2-for-1 mains! Turns out that offer runs Monday to Wednesday, lunch and dinner. Honestly, almost worth driving down from Sydney just for that.

The food? Proper pub classics but better—juicy pork ribs, a real lamb shank pie, rigatoni, chicken parmigiana—all done well. Everyone in the group loved their meal. Drinks were decently priced, too.
