Located at Crown Street & Kembla Streets, Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is a great venue which holds a wide variety of events. The seating is not tiered, it’s flat so it can be difficult to see the performance, particularly from the back of the auditorium. We came to see “The Great British Songbook “ and our group mainly consisted of people in an aged group including people with mobility walkers. The venue is very accessible. There’s a lift 🛗 from the ground floor to level 1 where the main auditorium is. The ushers were very friendly and welcoming, also very helpful. We came in some buses and to drop off our clients, we had to stop in the No stopping zone at front of theatre 🎭, risking a ticket. Our tickets included a morning tea of assorted cakes and other snacks along with tea and coffee which was nice. This was served in The Music 🎶 Lounge. There’s disabled toilets on the first floor close to the entrance to the auditorium. The other toilets are down the steps close to the Box Office. It’s a nice venue....
Read moreDuring the show, we found it annoying each time the staff behind the bar counter opened up the bottle fridge allowing a bright light to shine put into the room. Really detracts from enjoying the on-stage performance. Perhaps when the performance is on, drinks are only dispensed from one end of the bar, severely limiting the bright illumination from the fridge when the door is opened.
