My recent visit to this captivating palace was truly enchanting. From the moment I stepped into the grounds, I was greeted by an expansive, exquisitely maintained garden surrounded by majestic trees, creating a serene and picturesque setting that set the tone for the entire experience. Exploring the historical museum within the palace was a journey through time, as I encountered a remarkable collection of ancient artifacts, including Roman utensils, rocks, and even mummies. The museum's displays provided a fascinating insight into history, offering a captivating glimpse into ancient civilizations. The option of guided tours in both German and English was a thoughtful inclusion, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the history of the palace and its precious exhibits. The guided tour enhanced my understanding of the palace's heritage, making the visit even more fulfilling. Yet, the true highlight of the visit was the presence of the charming and engaging dancing peacocks that gracefully roamed the palace grounds. Their delightful displays, complete with their vibrant and captivating feathers, added an extra layer of magic to the entire visit, creating an unforgettable and unique experience. Overall, this palace seamlessly combines natural beauty, rich history, and captivating attractions, making it a standout destination for anyone seeking a truly enchanting experience. I left with a deep appreciation for the history and beauty that this palace has to offer.

A really nice place, that's worth visiting, even in the winter season (the rooms are closed between October 31st and Easter). This old palace has a rich history (I advise everyone to read about its story), the architecture is beautiful and tied to: time, seasons, months, days, minutes etc., and the park surrounding it is peaceful and quiet (a really good place to go for a walk, picnic or with the kids). During the cold season you can't visit the rooms. The palace is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and its rooms have no electricity or heating, so to preserve them better they need to keep them shut. The admission price is reasonable for Austria: 2 euros for the gardens and 11.50 euros for the full visit. You can get there on foot from the main train station (Graz Hbf) în about 20 minutes while also experiencing a quiet residential area. There's also a small café where you can warm up or freshen up (depending on the season) and lots of wild animals like ducks and peacocks.

Nice castle with interesting exhibitions (paintings and sculptures from 15.-17. centuries, archeological findings). Visiting beautiful halls is guided in English and German (amazing guided on 23 July at 2 pm, group B). I had free admission with Graz Card. Then why 4 stars? Because of accessibility. The entrance or at lest only exit should be near to the public transport. It is depressing to finish the tour in archeological museum and to know that even if behind the wall is a tramway stop, you have to make additionaly almost kilometer due to going back to the entrance and to the tramyay. It is nonfriendly for elderly people and persons with disabilities. What about only exit gate next to the archeological museum at least?

Very beautiful castle/palace. The entry to the park costs already 2€ per person, the castle itself costs extra and you need to book a guided tour if you want to see the upper floor with the beautiful rooms (you're not allowed to see them alone). The tour itself was good but felt a bit rushed - the final rooms were done only very briefly because there was a hard time limit of 55 minutes apparently. Otherwise, the rooms are stunning and well worth the entrance fees. The explanations are interesting and the guide was competent and friendly. Overall this was well worth the visit - apparently it's only open from sprint to autumn and closed down for winter to protect the artworks. Plan your visit in advance.

I loved everything about this castle!! The staff is nice, the gardens and everything. I was there in March when the garden was not blooming so I would recommend to go in May, but it was also nice. The castle is not open for visita during a winter. You can’t visit the rooms without a guided tour, but it was really cool, the tour guide was great and explained everything really well and was really interesting! Also, you can’t take pictured inside the castle. Once you buy a 24 hour ticket it is also working for other museums in town. You can see that they really care about the castle and it’s history which ja really nice :) This is a must see when you come to Graz! 😁😁

At this place you can spend almost whole day. There is something for everyone. The huge garden is perfect for a walk. There is small lake with ducks. Additionally, peacock are walking around. In one corner of the garden is nice pavilion which is also a cafe. The main attraction is the palace. It’s beautiful and worth seeing even if you can not come inside. However, if you have possibly to attend guided tour do it! You would be able to see inside of this beautiful place. Without tour you can visit art gallery and gothic chapel. You would need to pay to enter garden as well as museums inside the palace, but it’s definitely wort it.
