TL;DR: The park is amazing but beware the ferris wheel! The Minimundus park is worth every euro. A lot of beautiful miniatures, many of them are electrified (with lights, trains riding on rails, moving/turning) with descriptions and info. I especially recommend the park during early evening hours, so you start with daylight and end in the dark. Walking through everything took like 2–3 hours but we were quite slow. You can eat there too, the food is a bit pricey but fine. Parking is free in front of Minimundus. Also there are bowls with water for dogs and drinking „fountains“ for people, which is a nice touch. The ferris wheel was, however, a nightmare. We were promised that we can go back to the Minimundus park after going to the wheel (it's separated), but the cashier (man in his 40s, clearly annoyed with his job and hating people) was really rude and unpleasant to deal with and told us that "done, miniatures park closed" 35 minutes before the actual closing time (although Minimundus staff promised us we'll be able to return). He absolutely refused to listen to reason or help us. Wheel costs 6 EUR per person (when you have MM tickets) for like 4–5 minutes ride and you can't pay with a card (everywhere else in the park are cards accepted). The view is nice but the staff attitude is really not worth it + you lose access to Minimundus you've paid for.

Minimundus is a miniature park in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Austria, that displays over 150 miniature models of architecture from around the world, built at a ratio of 1:25. It's one of the most popular tourist attractions in Carinthia, and is open year-round. The models are made from a variety of materials, including stone, brick, metal, and glass, and are incredibly detailed. Some of the most popular models include the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, and the Sydney Opera House. Minimundus also has a number of interactive exhibits, such as a model train and a miniature airport, which make it a great place to visit with kids. Here are some additional interesting facts about Minimundus: * The most expensive model in Minimundus is St. Peter's Basilica, which cost over 1 million euros to build. * The smallest model in Minimundus is a miniature cuckoo clock, which is only 10 centimeters tall. * The park is home to over 10,000 plants and flowers. * Minimundus is a non-profit organization and all of the proceeds from ticket sales go to support the work of Rettet das Kind Austria, a charity that helps children in need.

I have been to this place when I was a little kid and had great memories of it, so we wanted to show it to our daughter. It's conveniently located off a main road and offers plenty of parking spots. We visited on Easter Sunday and were surprised to see that they had special prices for that day (and were even open). Our daughter was less interested in the miniatures but more in indoor activities. There is a 4D cinema, a huge slide, a mini that you can drive, a soccer range, etc. Some of the miniatures are interactive or move, such as the space shuttle. There is a lot of love for detail, but I'd say it's more interesting for older kids or adults. They have a restaurant inside with a wide selection, a bit pricey but that's to be expected when visiting a park. This is a great place to visit when it's bad weather, we spend a few hours here and our daughter loved it.

Visiting Minimundus in Klagenfurt, Austria, was an absolute delight! This miniature park is a hidden gem that offers a fascinating journey around the world through its meticulously crafted models of famous landmarks. Each structure, from the Eiffel Tower to the Taj Mahal, is built with incredible attention to detail and authenticity. The park is beautifully maintained and offers a variety of interactive exhibits that are both fun and educational. The indoor adventure world and the Ferris wheel were particular highlights for our family. It’s a perfect destination for visitors of all ages, whether you’re a history enthusiast, an architecture lover, or just looking for a unique and enjoyable day out. Overall, Minimundus is a must-visit when in Austria.

They have a mini car game (you get in the car then you see on a screen a movie from the park and the car is shaking) but is unsafe and can be even traumatic because the handle to open the door after the simulation is totally missing, so you get trapped inside. The mini car and was placed in an area where children are playing. What worried me is that I reported at the reception and they told me they are aware of the problem and there is nothing they can do... For that the 2 stars On the other side: I was really impressed by the level of details in the reconstructions and the general feeling in the park. Some of the exhibits were a bit interactive, wish there was more interaction.

On a sunny day, this is likely the best destination around. As there are no long rows at the ticket booth, this attraction is yours in a few minutes time and takes about one hour of walking through the most famous landmarks in the world. Each plot is well-documented and some include interactivity for the kids. Surely a family and wheelchair-friendly place, after which one can brunch or dine in one of many wallet-friendly taverns around the university (at walking distance). No worries about the squeeky-clean bathrooms, your pet is also welcome it seems, as there is even a water well for them. Last but not least, don't forget your camera, taking pictures and filming is permitted.
