Seepromenade Mondsee — Attraction in Mondsee

We made an unexpected stop at Mondsee lake and we decided to do a lake tour, since there was a boat leaving in 15 minutes. Glad we did! The little cruise was so nice!!! Beautiful lake, the scenery is truly amazing. It’s like you’re in a living postcard 😍 The only thing is that all explanations are given in German, and there’s no English translation (so we didn’t understand anything, as our German is rather basic and we’re not able to follow if people talk too fast). Apart from that, everything was great. You can also buy drinks onboard, but I believe there’s no toilet inside (but you have restrooms just outside, near the embarcation spot...

Five stars just doesn't seem enough, without doubt this area must rank among the most beautiful in the world. You could spend years with the lake and mountains and feel like you needed longer just to take it in. This town and all of the shops.... simply amazing. Feels so quaint. Sound of music fans, the basilica here is where the wedding scene was filmed. Gorgeous church. The trees on the same street down by the lake are the ones used to film where the kids hung from the trees in their play clothes.

This a great place to visit with mountains and the lakes... we can not wait...
