We are staying in St. Johann and had a wonderful afternoon at Liechtensteinklamm, which led to a hike the next day to Alpendorf. On the hike, we saw several signs for Bogen Jagd. Curious, we met with Christian and set a date the following day. We arrived the next morning both nervous and excited. Christian and Mickie (sp?) spent 30 minutes teaching us the basics of how to safely and effectively use the bow, and then we were on our own to enjoy the adventure of the archery parcours. The course is set in a spectacular, magical forest. If the activity only involved the forest, it would be worth doing it. But to make it even better, there are 14 stops with targets along the way. Scoring is optional, but made the experience more enjoyable. I don't want to spoil it, but I will say that the course and targets are very creatively and cleverly done. We went at a relaxed pace and completed the course in about 2 hours. It was just the two of us, but we saw entire families participating as well. Each archer can choose their own difficulty level, so this is truly an activity that all ages and abilities can enjoy. Just a great experience!...
Read moreSimply awesome....Chris explains the sport so well to adults as well as kids that someone who is apprehensive about it will also want to give it a try. My kid and husband, beginners, went on this awesome 2 hrs adventure...loved it totally and returned to do it again though not the whole tour. My daughter wanted to try her hands on shooting again...Chris gave her the equipment to shoot in the practice area as much as she wants. Awesome guy...totally recommend his event for kids and adults alike. Thank you Chris....my daughter wants to learn Archery...
Read moreIt was a great experience and the introductory course was perfect, we were shooting quite consistently after just a few targets.
For 19€ per person it was a great way to spend ~2h30m, the targets are in the middle of a small forest so you get lots of shade and nature.
Make sure to wear good hiking shoes or sneakers because you need to go up and down a lot of dirt paths that can be a bit slippery.
The only improvement suggestion I have is to give people a few more arrows so that you don't have to go fetch them...
