What a beautiful, enriched and well-organized museum it is!

At first, before entering the main building, you'll get to see the water-display along with music, it is really a great treat to both the eye and mind. Once inside, you'll get to see a rotating canon model, a ship model and many other historical information, weapons and artifacts regarding the battle of palashi, forts of bangladesh, information on some defence personnel and many more.

There are many sections, such as- differentiated zones for the army, navy and air-force artifacts as well as a huge three-storeyed gallery portraying the different historical events of Bangladesh and many other beautiful aesthetic objects.

One thing that you'd definitely like is- the whole museum is fully digitalised. You'll get to see a lot of of tabs- big and small, which can give you information and pictorial views of the corresponding artifact/object. Also, there are some tabs with headphones which you can use to hear liberation period songs, or books/articles based on the liberation war, and father of the nation.

This place is huge, and very enriched in information. It is a very good place for you and especially the kids. As the area is huge, you should plan to come here with a lot of free time and full energy.

The Ship and Jeep simulations are closed on fridays, so I missed that. But personally, besides the water-display, I loved the submarine model very much! I was really mesmerised to see the whole museum and couldn't even stop to take some rest in the sitting corners, because I didn't want to stop experiencing the variety of things the museum has to offer.

Finally, In a nutshell, this museum is amazing! It is fully air-conditioned, so even on hot-humid days you can come here and walk comfortably throughout the whole museum. Also, a car parking area is available there, so no need to worry about parking your personal vehicle. This place is really good for both kids and adults. Try to book tickets online, it will be easier for you to collect tickets that way

Online tickets don't directly ensure your access to the premises, submit printed copy or show the online pdf version of your ticket to the ticket counter. Seeing that, the counter person will give you real tickets to enter. Collect them, then enter

This place is open from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM on Fridays and 10:00 AM - 01:00 PM and 03:00 PM - 06:00 PM on other weekdays except Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, the museum remains closed.

Do not bring outside foods with you, you won't be able to take them inside with you.

There are certain places, where photography is prohibited. Don't click photos there.

Please respect the regulations posed by the corresponding authority.

Do not touch the artifacts. Even don't let your kids touch them. These things are our valuable national resources, we should learn to respect and safeguard them.

Do not throw anything in the museum area.

If you bring small kids, let them have fun without harming anything or violating any of the norms

Come with plenty of time in hand to enjoy and understand the depth of things this place has to offer, also as I repeatedly mentioned, the area is really big, come fully energized, as you'll have to walk a lot to explore the full museum.

There is also a restaurant, a 3D gallery and a Cineplex there. The 3D gallery, and Cineplex require tickets to be bought separately from that of the museum.
