After seeing the reaction on my rating, I do feel the need to comment a little more and tell the world why I gave this bar a one star review.
After already been barked at at a previous visit for no reason, we decided to give the bar the benefit of the doubt and re-visit. After having a drink or two, we decided to leave and saw that my jacket was no longer hanging at the stool next to me. After looking through the bar and not finding it, my boyfriend decided to go and ask at the bar if it had not been found. The answer he immediately recieved was 'go f. yourself'. This is not the way to treat customers, and when he said that, the staff said we were being rude and 'threatened' with calling the cops on us, which they did.
We were not removed from the bar as said in the comments, but left ourselves to wait outside for the police to arrive. We kindly explained to the police that a jacket was missing and that it was the very rude and unhelpful staff that called them.
If you can't handle a simple question from your customers, then you don't belong behind a bar. I live in Bruges and pay taxes here, and would like my tax money for police interventions to go to the situations that really need it, not for situations where staff is too lazy and too rude to help their customers if they report a problem.
We will definitely go and ‘f. ourselves' elsewhere in the future, as this bar...

Read moreI just want to make it clear that we weren't sitting in the reserved area. We do not expect any special treatment. We're just asking for some kind of respect as you would give to any other client. As I said in my original review, we've moved several times so you could seat more people, but it still wasn't enough. We always go out with six people or more, and we're always looking for a spot that's not too close to the beer tasting. So mostly, we sit across the reserved area for the beer tasting, because there isn't room anywhere else in the bar (because other people are sitting there, and that's okay). We never sit in the reserved area, because we know there will be a beer tasting. Your answer just proves your...
