De Windmolen — Restaurant in Bruges

We travelled to Bruges for a romantic getaway and after travelling all day, fancied a relaxed evening. We decided to walk through the park which was around 10-12 minutes from where we were staying and pop in at the Windmill. Warm welcome, lovely surroundings, and great wine!

We didnt eat here but we saw another couple order food that looked great and from their reactions tasted it too.

After a couple of drinks we headed back calling in atr Pizzeria Sforno for a pizza to takeaway back to our apartment.

We discovered this place while on a walk up the Poterierei and back via the windmills. Friendly locals all looked up from their newspapers to greet us. The landlady indulged my awful Flemish. The one small room was comfy and the beer cold and strong. Definitely worth a visit if you're after a bit more from your Brugge experience than the usual...
