Natural Park of the Two Ourthes (PNDO) — Attraction in Houffalize

I don't know how to explain it.

I didn't think it would be 12km. They didn't tell me. Mind you, I actually /can't/ walk for that long.

I thought it would be 6km. So the first 6km was a breeze. I loved the view and it was so beautiful. But than. I got a little tired. But I still went on knowing it wouldn't be long. Than it hits. They said it's 12km and I'm like oh god... Sure. I'll do it! My girlfriend was also getting really tired. But we pressed on. Views still really beautiful but it became dreadful. It was getting so heavy and difficult to press on. I needed to go on with pushing my girlfriend on the side.

But at the end. We got back. I was happy. I was proud. 12km done. With beautiful views. It's worth it when you can do long walks that go up and down!

I'm really glad I did it. But...

Houffalize has earned a small place in my heart. Have been visiting this town for ever a decade. The atmosphere here has remained the same, as time has stood still. Omvat een educatieve ervaringsruimte binnen en een buitenspeeltuin opm te ravotten. De binnenruimte is gevuld met ruim 70 interactieve ervaringen die kinderen (en volwassenen) meer leren over de vijf zintuigen: smaak, tast, reuk, zicht en gehoor. In de buitenspeeltuin kom je via grote klimtorens bij een touwbrug over de rivier de Ourthe. Een glijbaan van 30 meter brengt je weer terug.
