Pacz Tours — Attraction in San Ignacio & Santa Elena

Pacz tours was recommended to us by a friend and we could not have had a better experience. We took the ATM tour, which is absolutely incredible. We hiked and swam down a mile into a live cave used by the Mayans. Oscar knew the cave so well, we were convinced he could have led us through with the lights off. Step up here, lean forward here, watch your head here, swing your leg around here….deep in the belly of the cave we had no fear. Oscar talked about everything from Mayan history, geology, biology and local legends. What an amazing experience.

We had planned to go the next day to Xuanintunich on our own the following day, which is totally doable without a guide but after all of the things we learned from Oscar we decided last min to book Pacz again. Soooo glad we did! Pedro picked us up the next morning and was the best! Again, so much information from traditions to ceremonies and current research facts. Oscar was funny and friendly, a great ambassador for Belize. We were picked up from our tour by Justin, and he gave us an impromptu tour of San Ignacio and filled us in on local restaurants and shops. He was the nicest guy and it was hard to say goodbye after just a short trip. Our appreciation and understanding of Belize is greater than we could have imagined. Thank you! Side note! They take cc payments which is super helpful because getting cash can be tricky. Save your cash...

I found Pacz on Tripadvisor and filled out a contact form to enquire about the ATM Tour. The owner got in touch with me in less than a min and arranged a tour at relatively short notice to visit the caves. I had a problem paying online, he said not to worry and pay on the day of the tour. We met his son and Oscar (our guide) at Teakettle town, as we wanted to drive ourselves from Hopkins. We were so fortunate to have Oscar as our guide, he has been working as a guide for over 20 years and is very passionate about the caves and it's history. Thanks to him we (my husband and our 2 boys 10 and 12 years old) had the BEST and most memorable 3 hours in the caves! On some occasions, we felt like we were in the Indiana Jones movie set :))) Thank you for such a fantastic day! We had a fantastic time with Pacz Tours on our trip to Belize. We did the one day tour to Tikal with Hugo as our tour guide. Tikal was incredible and having Hugo telling us about it's history and that of the Mayans who lived there made the tour that much better. It was an amazing sight to see. We also did the ATM Cave tour with Pacz Tours. That tour was breath-taking. This tour we did with Oscar and he was a great guide. He kept us from bumping our heads or knees while exploring the cave and shared so much about the history of the cave and it's rediscovery during our tour. Jamaal in their office was always very helpful in getting both of our tours set up. We highly recommend both tours...
