Lola’s Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in San Ignacio & Santa Elena

Wow , we went here last night with my friends. We are visiting from California and let me tell you the food was amazing, the vibes were also really good. I even had a little dietary problem towards the end of my meal, and the manager was so kind and helpful. The drinks were sooo tasty and fun I had the Miami vice! It didn’t even taste like there was alcohol in it and let me tell you it gave me a really nice buzz so there definitely was! Haha

I would 💯 recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to the area. Definitely a MUST if you’re a foodie and looking for not only good food but good atmosphere and kind dining service! We will definitely be going back next time we visit San Ignacio, Belize! So happy our hotel host at the parrot tree recommended it! I may even want to go back today it was that good! Also they were open pretty late on a Sunday evening which being a tourist used to being able to get food late on Sundays was also a perk.

This was one of the best places we ate at while in San Ignacio. We got the chimichurri sliders and we were so pleased! Instead of a wheat bun these beef sliders have tostones (fried plantain) which is genius and delicious! The veggies were super fresh and the tostones were warm and crispy. This menu item is a great gluten free option if you’re looking for that. We also got a chicken quesadilla which was delicious as well, the chicken was cooked very well and the quesadilla was loaded with ingredients! Let's talk about the service ... the waitress clearly forgot to place my partners order. Rather than state that she made a mistake and own up to it she made up an excuse. Why did she not come back and ask him if would like something that was available. He asked to have a regular burger brought out and she made a comment it will be 20 minutes before as the people who came after us and ordered after us need to get their food first.
