Best fort I have ever been too! We showed up on a Tuesday or Wednesday, I can't remember anymore. Anyways, the tickets (normally $7 per person) were free for us. They didn't say why and we didn't complain. We arrived with about 30 minutes to close as we sort of just stumbled upon the fort after walking to Tobacco bay from St. Georges. This is the only Fort I have visited that has allowed us to tour so much of the insides. To see the only tunnels and storage areas was very cool. The glass lantern holders and ammunition elevators were very cool and we saw plenty of similar designs on the other forts around the island. I would recommend giving yourself more than an hour to tour it to get the most out of it. If you go along the edge of the fort along the water, you should look for the Cannon that was sitting half in the water. I wasn't able to find anything as to why it was there but either it was a big accident or intentionally thrown off the edge. Either way, very cool! Definitely worth of visit if you are...

My father and I just toured Fort St. Catherine's for the first time after years visiting St. George's, and unlike so many of the other dilapidated or overgrown forts on the Island, this one provided a fantastic look into both the life and times of the men who lived and served here over the past four centuries, as well as the very origins of Bermuda's inhabitants themselves. Such a hard life in such a beautiful place! Fantastic self-guided tour and a beautiful view of the Sea and Island from every angle, and afterwards you can take a dip at the gorgeous beach just adjacent. Well worth the trip up to the NE...

Nice historic fort. Interesting displays of historic items throughout. Great views of the ocean and Tobacco Bay.

It's not easy to get to if you don't have a car or scooter. We had trouble finding a taxi in St. George to give us a ride to the fort. There is no public transportation to this side of the island. It's not a long walk from town but there are some substantial hills to climb. Once you're there you can go to Blackbeard's Hideout restaurant next store, have a refreshing beverage and ask the bartender to call you a ride...

Great little fort. Too bad they're destroying the feel of the place by building resort of some sort right at it's footsteps. Horrible, the little beach right next to it has construction right at it's borders and the beach itself got overtaken with the fences and workers. The view from the fort towards the ocean is still nice but opposite direction is now destroyed! We didn't pay for the entrance to the fort, Bermuda is expensive already, so we just enjoyed outside of it. Great place that lost some of its innocence of the past glory.

One of our stop when we toured end to end this Island Spectacular! One of the best attractions I've been to. You get to tour the ENTIRE fort!! Very few places are not accessible (some parts are just pure storage). But, you get to go underground into the belly of the fort, you get to go on the very top with the cannons. There is a small museum in the entrance, and a small part in the barracks. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!!
