Just an excellent experience! Absolutely phenomenal! My friend and I had no reservation and we were still seated with the caveat that we be done in an hour and a half. That was fine! We get it. New restaurant. Full bookings. Good for them! We weren’t rushed, nor treated any differently. This place is amazing! I thought the views at The Loren were spectacular! These views are amazing!! It’s a small but quaint place. It’s still a bit of work in progress as they are working on the acoustics and the window shading. There are no shades on the windows so it can get very sunny and warm. They are aware and are looking into options. The food was just great! I ordered the Korean Ribs. Amazing. These are not the small ribs you normally get in most locations. These are full-Texas-sized ribs! They were very tender! I liked that they weren’t dripping in any sauce. The fried rice that came with it was sufficient but not spectacular. That was fine as I mainly focused on the ribs, anyway! For dessert, I had the Japanese cheesecake. It was also amazing! A spongecake that tasted like cheesecake! Wow!
This is going to be my new local joint. The staff were always on point and made great suggestions. They were always moving and doing something. The manager, Matt, was phenomenal! He spent time speaking with the guests and talking about future plans for the restaurant. It was a great evening! We were done in an hour and a half, and it really started filling up!
He said that Sundays are their busiest so far. Please make a reservation or risk being turned away or waiting for a long while for a table. There were only stairs to get to the restaurant. I didn’t notice a ramp for those needing one. I may not have looked hard enough for one as well. Also, the lunch salads cannot be ordered for dinner. They don’t offer dinner salads, only...
Read moreEnjoyed our anniversary dinner at Achilles. Always a beautiful atmosphere and good service. Second time dining here so we wanted to try different items from the menu. Cocktails are always nice here. We enjoyed the mussels and broccolini starters, but the bread that came with the broccolini was too hard. Funny, because if we didn't have the mussels broth to dip them in, they would have been almost inedible. Also there were a total of nine mussels in the bowl, which seemed like a very small portion (even as an appetizer). We know mussels are not expensive to buy wholesale, so they could have increased the quantity.) Korean noodles didn't have much flavor (if you are used to eating spicy Asian food, this won't hit the spot). The tofu was nicely prepared. The Chicken souvlaki was my favorite part of the meal. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, and the overall dish was balanced (even though the Hummus was bland). We would dine again in the future, but now that we know what we know we like and don't like, the menu seems a little more...
Read moreMy recent dining experience at Achilles Restaurant in Bermuda was exceptional. The warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The service was impeccable—the staff were attentive, and friendly, and went out of their way to ensure every detail was perfect.
The food was a true highlight, with every dish bursting with flavor and crafted with the freshest ingredients. Whether it was the perfectly cooked main course or the delightful dessert, each bite was a culinary delight. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive, adding an extra touch of elegance to the meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant was equally remarkable, combining a cozy setting with a sophisticated vibe that made it an ideal spot for both casual and special occasions. The decor was tastefully done, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Overall, Achilles Restaurant exceeded all my expectations, and I can't wait to return. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding dining...
