Last year we went for a 7N8D wonderful trip of Bhutan (16/12/19 to 23/12/19, 2N Thimphu – City Hotel Thimphu, 1 N Punakha – Zhingkham Resort, 1 N Phobjikha Valley – Dewachen Hotel & Spa, 3N Paro – Tiger’s Nest Resort).

Bhutan is an unbelievably beautiful, extremely clean, and peaceful country. Bhutanese people are very friendly, disciplined, and hospitable. We had booked this trip through Bhutan Best Inbound Tour.

Like all our trips, we had initially thought of booking the hotel stay on our own through one of the travel portals and rely on local cab service, but soon realized that unlike other places it might not be a good option as it is highly recommended to have a local guide accompany you throughout your trip and availability of local taxis might be an issue. (Except for tourists from India, Bangladesh and Maldives it is mandatory for all tourists to book the tour through one of the local tour operators). Honestly, initially we were bit hesitant to book the trip through one of the local tour operators, hence we started exploring the popular international and Indian tour operators. But we were not satisfied by the responses and attitude and thought of exploring local tour operators registered with The Tourism Council of Bhutan. I contacted many local tour operators but was really impressed with the prompt responses and quote of Bhutan Best Inbound Tour.

I coordinated with Mr. Thinley to plan the itinerary. He patiently replied to all my queries (extremely detailed answers, very impressive!) and tailored the complete tour as per our request. He even ensured that all the hotels are booked as per our preference. Though we had booked our flight tickets directly, Bhutan Best Inbound can help book the tickets and take care of all other formalities. One can definitely rely on them for a hassle free end to end tour.

On arrival at Bhutan Airport we were welcomed by our guide, Mr. Phurba Tsherig and our driver, Mr. Jigme. Thinley had even arranged a local sim card for us. Phurba is extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about his job. At every location he keenly and enthusiastically explained all the details. He even accompanied me to Tiger’s Nest hike. Jigme is one of the best drivers we’ve seen and we felt very safe because of his smooth driving. Both of them are extremely well mannered and were never intrusive. Phurba facilitated check-ins and check-outs at every hotel and ensured that rooms with best view are allocated to us. He also instructed all the hotels about our dietary restrictions. He ensured that we have a pleasant stay at all the hotels and are well fed :D. It was nice on part of Thinley to personally come and meet us at City Hotel, Thimphu. He gifted us a holy prayer flag that we hoisted on our way to Punakha, a small purse for my wife, and a fridge magnet! He was accessible throughout the trip and was checking about our trip’s progress at regular intervals.

We are extremely happy and satisfied by the hospitality and service offered by Bhutan Best Inbound Tours. I can safely say that they have exceeded our expectations. I will definitely recommend services of Bhutan Best Inbound to all travelers who want to explore this...

Our first time in Bhutan couldn’t have been as amazing & memorable as it was without the wonderful team behind Bhutan Best Inbound Tour who were with us every step of the way.

We decided (very last minute) to go to Bhutan with only weeks to spare. I decided to go with Bhutan Best Inbound Tour based on online reviews, responsiveness (via WhatsApp), and reasonable pricing. Because our trip was short (5 days/4 nights) and we already rushed to book our flights/accommodations, we were mainly looking for a dedicated tour guide/driver to explore Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro.

Deki, who planned our itinerary, was responsive and accommodating to all my inquiries and requests. She answered my questions, and put my mind at ease when it came to our visas. She was lovely to work with, and made us feel prepared before our trip. But what she couldn’t have prepared us for was how amazing Bhutan would be and how much we would love our trip.

We arrived at Paro International Airport early in the morning, and were greeted outside with white scarves by our guide and our driver who were patiently waiting for us.

Our guide, Phub, was fantastic. Not only was he like a walking encyclopedia about his country, the culture, and Buddhism, he was personable and so funny. He was also quite the photographer, capturing the best angles and even directing us on how to pose. Phub was also very flexible with our daily schedule, and accommodating to our requests, which we appreciated immensely. He also shared tips & tricks that only locals would be privy to, which made this trip much more intimate and fulfilling than if we decided to go without a tour guide. I HIGHLY recommend a tour guide if you are thinking of going to Bhutan for the first time.

We had two drivers, both very humble and excellent drivers. I felt very safe in the car despite impatient drivers, the occasional cow and dog, and landslides. On our day trip to Punakha from Thimphu, a landslide extended our trip by an hour each way, but our driver was patient and made sure we were comfortable. The breathtaking views (and company) made the delays worth it. We were so fortunate to have such wonderful drivers who prioritized our safety.

From the kindness of the people to the delicious food, from the beautiful weather to the rich culture, and of course, Tiger’s Nest (which left us breathless, both figuratively and literally), Bhutan is truly a special country that left us with so many beautiful memories.

We plan to visit Bhutan again, and when we do, we can’t wait to work with Bhutan Best Inbound Tour for all our needs. If you’re looking for a tour guide, I highly recommend reaching out to Bhutan Best Inbound Tour for a...

Pre-Travel: As we organized our tour (i.e. visa, hotel, itinerary) by ourselves, Bhutan Inbound Tours provided us with a great guide and driver. They answered all our questions very professionally and within a short time.

Our itinerary comprised cultural sightseeing, several half-day hikes and "free time" to experience daily-life in the cities, villages and Home-/Farmstays.

Our guide, Tandin Dorji, is very knowledgeable and interested in many topics; he was always patient, polite and very friendly. He speaks professional English and is easy to understand.

Tandin has a deep knowledge about Bhutanese Culture, History and Bhuddism and managed to explain the different aspects in an easy to understand way, e.g. using stories to make it easy to remember. When it comes to Bhuddism, Tandin very well explained the historical and spiritual background of the huge variety of the different statues, pictures, symbols etc., patiently answering all our questions even if we have asked the same question several times before. He supported us in showing a respectful behaviour in temples, in praying rituals and blessing ceremonies. If we wanted we could take time for meditation. We also did several half-day hikes: Tandin skillfully led us through the "jungle" and even insisted on carrying our water and lunch.

Our driver Mr. Pema was very attentive and ensured we had a comfortable journey. He is a skillful driver and made sure that we would not get sick on the curvy roads, and that we arrived safe and on time every day. We never worried about our safety even when passing big trucks on narrow streets. Also he often knew about our needs even earlier than we did, asking if we needed a break or provided water. The car he provided was very comfortable (even for a 2meter/6.6feet tall person) and Mr. Pema made sure that it was always clean and tidy.

Tandin and Mr. Pema had a very good coordination, so every time we came back from e.g. hiking (even if we changed our plans during the day) Mr. Pema was already waiting with the car, so we never had to wait. They made sure we had a hassle free time.

Over a time of 2 weeks both have always been very attentive and very friendly!

Bhutan is a wonderful, unique, natural and peaceful country - Tandin and Mr. Pema helped us a lot to experience it this way.

A big thank you to both of you - you are great!

A hint for other travellers who plan by themselves: in Bhutan it is common that the accomodation also provides food and accomodation for the guides - but unfortunately not all of them do. You might want to...

My Best Tripppp! Me and my friend had booked two weeks eastern Bhutan tour, as we were interested to see Brokpas, the indigenous people of Bhutan & and have some off beaten experience . To reach there we had to travel from West to East of Bhutan as Bhutan has just one International Airport at Paro which is at one end of West of Bhutan. We visited in spring, and trust me this is the best time to visit Bhutan. The drive to Eastern Bhutan is long but the drive through forest filled with Rhododendron in riots of color is something else to witness. We also have to drive through heart of Thrumsingla National park from Bumthang and the drive through the forest of ferns, rhododendrons with no settlement in between- was surreal. Occasionally we were greeted by yaks, we also saw some wild pheasant including Tragopoen which was spotted by our guide. Mongar is one place the bird lovers should not miss Along the way we had to pass through many small towns like Punakha, Bomthang, Mongar and all has its beauty of their own. We stopped at these places for one or 2 night for some short hikes and cultural sightseeing There were lot of hotel for us to choose while in Western Bhutan but as we move to Eastern Bhutan the hotel options are less, as many tourist limit their visit till western Bhutan. And at Sakten and Merak , there are no tourist hotel and we were accommodated at homestay. It was perhaps the most tranquil vacation that we had. Visiting these places took us back in time. We were welcomed with some tradition of wine offering, modernism had not reached this place. The people there still wear colourful unique dress , move in slow pace , has houses made of stones . Even in May Merak and Sakten was cold so it is good to prepare yourself with some warm clothes. And also the road to these places was recently introduced otherwise people had to hike for days to reach these places If you are looking for luxury tour Eastern Bhutan tour is not recommended as they do not have even a single 5* hotels but if you are looking for something authentic, something out of the busy world , some time to reflect upon oneself then Eastern Bhutan tour is something you should not miss. Personally this was what I was looking for in a vacation and I am grateful with Bhutan Inbound team as a whole for giving me this inexplicable experience. Thank you!
