In short, when we left, the police were already in front of the building, but it seemed to me that they were showing how to get to the parking lot :) Parking there is not allowed. The show lasted 16-18 minutes, the rest was talking. The best VIP seats were "reserved for friends," which was not mentioned when buying tickets.
People supposedly selected from the audience for the shows were arranged.
The conditions for the dolphins were tragic, communism in its full glory. The pool was smaller than one attached to a hotel. Even one dolphin in something like that is a massacre, let alone five. The building clearly needs renovation.
For the price of 16-18 minutes, it's overpriced. But I expected all of this from reading reviews; the rest is just talk and encouraging people to clap. The spectacle of selecting people was embarrassing, as were the friends of the employees who were not chosen by chance.
I don't recommend it. In the Wrocław zoo, feeding the seals takes longer, they get food whether they perform tricks or not, and on top of that, they have a 10 times larger outdoor pool... It's a massacre and mistreatment of dolphins.
P.S. I don't know if the positive reviews are bought or if there's something...
Read moreYesterday a baby dolphin at the Dolphinarium died as it was brought to the public in his first days of life and its ears couldn't handle the noise made by the audience. This is one of the 5 deaths recorded in the place in the past few years.
Not knowing this, we went to see the dolphin show last week and the conditions were indeed poor. The dolphins have only one pool to swim and the place felt badly maintained with paint peeling off etc.
The show itself was also very badly orchestrated with dolphins making simple tricks such as bouncing balls for 10 mins and nothing more. It had no education element and we didn't learn anything about their life.
Lastly, at the end of the dolphin show, the audience was also touted to buy a kiss and picture with a seal. News reporters however found out that the animal is in fact a sea lion which is listed as a wild animal, whilst in Bulgaria it is forbidden for anyone to tame such species and offer shows with them in public.
For the many reasons listed above, I would not recommend anyone who truly loves animals to visit this place and sponsoring...
Read moreDidn’t take pictures of the show as I was watching it and enjoying it unlike most people with their smartphones on video so they can watch it at home 😂
Positive: very spacious seating area snacks and bar/restaurant available toilets available wheelchair accessible (but not as easy as you would think)
Negative: No information available on the schedule (neither online nor on-site) it is obvious you don’t do a show every hour or the dolphins would be over fed and undertrained - still this is basic information The show is 30 minutes long and some tricks are only done once , there is ALOT of talking from the presentator and ONLY in Bulgarian , therefore pricy as what you get for what you pay is not up to scratch In general uncomfortable, it gets warm inside in the summer and the seats are hard as …
Overall, is it worth the visit, yes the kids will love it and the dolphins show some amazing skill.
Is is worth the pricy entry ticket,...
