Tath Nika Shiatsu and Anma Massage Center (formerly known as Nika's Seeing Hands Massage Therapy Center) — Attraction in Khan Boeng Keng Kang

I visited NIKA’S Seeing Hands Massage Therapy Center because of its affordable pricing ($8/hour for body massage and $10/hour for reflexology) and the incredible cause of supporting blind masseurs. The glowing reviews also encouraged me to try their services, and I went in with high hopes.

Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and, more importantly, physically harmful. The massage was excruciatingly painful, particularly in my neck and shoulders. Despite me indicating during the session that the pressure was too much and causing severe discomfort, the masseur insisted on continuing and repositioning without adjusting the intensity.

It has now been four days since the massage, and my neck and shoulder pain has not subsided. I’ve been forced to rely on medication, and my range of motion remains restricted. The level of pain and the lasting damage I am experiencing are alarming. While I deeply respect and sympathise with the mission of this establishment, the safety and well-being of clients must be a priority.

Proper training and responsiveness to client feedback during sessions are essential in any massage therapy setting. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me significant harm rather than relief, and I believe urgent improvements are needed to prevent others from facing similar issues.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Nika, a remarkable blind massage therapist, after a friend's recommendation, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. Nika has a joyful spirit that shines through in every session. Her sense of humor keeps the atmosphere light, and we shared plenty of laughs throughout the massage.

Whenever I expressed discomfort, she would playfully ask, "Where are you running to?" This not only made me smile but also helped me feel at ease. Our conversations were enlightening; I learned so much from her insights and experiences. I truly wish I could record our chats to revisit them again later!

After the massage, I felt an incredible sense of relaxation that lingered. As someone who can be quite particular, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with my experience. I can’t wait to return for another session with Nika or with anyone...

Nika is an expert masseur. She managed to begin to work out the knots at the bottom of my back that I never realised were there and we're causing me pain elsewhere.

Her staff are also excellent and lovely. I laughed when I read some reviews complaining of having neck pain and back soreness afterward - obviously they did not research what Shiatsu and Reflexology was beforehand. Like a sports massage, these can cause soreness afterward temporarily as your cross muscles that haven't moved for months or years complain!

I would go back to Nika and have her continue undoing all the damage I've done from sitting I front of a computer all these years. Simply superb.
