Empress Theatre — Attraction in Alberta

We drove from Cardston to see Clue. What an awesome historic theatre! All the seats are good seats. The only issue was we decided to go last minute and the online tickets shut off a couple hours before the play starts and no one answers the phone. We didn't want to drive an hour if there were no tickets available. Thankfully we knew someone in the cast and were able to get confirmation that there were some tickets left at the last minute. There were two lady's working the box office so I'm not sure why there couldn't be someone answering the phone for same day...

We've been wanting to see a show at the historic Empress Theatre for some time and were not disappointed. What an Alberta gem! The staff/volunteers were bend-over-backward friendly and helpful, and we loved the show, a tribute to Ian Tyson's music. I agree with a previous reviewer that the seats aren't very comfortable but I'm thinking they're a lot better than the samples of precious seats on display down in the green room. 😊 Even though the same show was playing in nearby Calgary, it was worth the 2-hour drive to see it at The Empress....

Such a cool place to go if you never been here before! The people that work here are super friendly and the popcorn was great I'll be back again... oh and the prices were amazing zero complaints, please come support this Gem if you get a chance! Yes it's old but that's what makes the experience really neat. Thanks for the tour and maybe next time I'll get a chance...
