Mixed feelings about this place. First off let me clarify, there as absolutely no issues with the food at all. It was made to order and no issues with quality. It was served hot and quickly. The prices were all reasonable too.
My issue was the service. The lady who served us wouldn't look at me. She would only look at my wife and son. When she cam e to ask what we would like to drink she only asked my wife what she wanted and ignored my son and I. My wife requested water and my son and I didn't get to order drinks at all. When she returned she brought three glasses of water. My sons and my wifes were both ice cold with condensation running down the side. Mine was warm.
Once we were done eating and she came to clear the plates she again refused to look at me again.
Again, food was fine but the service was... well weird, i don't know how else to put it. Would i go back? ... probably but it might be a while since i don't live in...

Read moreThe other reviews on here are definitely not fair. We ate here last week and quite enjoyed it. It was clean, bright, well maintained, and friendly. Steeped in history, evidence of the long architectural history can be found everywhere. For a small family owned restaurant the single server kept up very well with all the customers in the room. The food, although not stellar, is also not the glitzy colorful sugar laden garbage you commonly get. What you get here is straight up clean food done in the Chinese Western Style that many small Canadian towns are home to. The portions were good, and the taste was fine. I recommend Johnny's, but patrons should check the attitude at the door and enjoy the small town experience.
