China City — Restaurant in Alberta

Have been here 3 or 4 times now since I moved to Fort macloud and its always the same, the poor server is always run off her feet and yes I said server, because everytime I have been here, there has only been one person serving, even on a friday and Saturday ( when I've been here ) and I feel sorry for that person. The food is mediocre and bland and I would only give it a rating of 3/10 . The decor looks and feels dirty and grimy, especially the carpet, so that score is 1/10 . The service, even though they are so under staffed, I give them 6/10 only because the server is polite and professional under the circumstance that they work under. I really don't see this place changing at all and I wouldn't recommend it to people traveling through. It's just a small town Chinese restaurant and sadly the owners only see it like that, and not for the full potential that it could be. If your thinking about calling for take out, don't bother because the phone never gets answered. So for it being a small town Chinese...

I was just at China City yesterday with my parents and siblings. It was the first time all being together since we were kids. Anyways, I ordered a poutine, gosh it was terrible! They used marble cheese instead of cheese curds. It tasted like mushroom soup! I had told the guy I wasn't satisfied with my meal, at first he had no problem telling me I didn't have to pay. I decided to pack it incase someone else will want it. They told me that take out is $6.95, basically the cost of the meal so I declined. Upon leaving, he tells me not to "do that again" and not to come back. I didn't do anything! I had a very upset stomach after. On a side note, he also had a minor serving us alcohol!! Wow I wish I had checked the reviews first..my husband and I had been traveling all day and not eaten properly since breakfast..we were starving so I went in quickly to order some meals to go.. honestly at that point I was ready to eat a cardboard box I was so hungry.. unfortunately I wasn't that lucky..I would have preferred the cardboard box..the food was horrible..chicken balls were doughy masses...fried rice was like nothing I had ever eaten before and NEVER want to eat again.. they tasted very hinky.. ..the dry ribs were petrified not dry...the whole experience was awful...we will never go back..lesson learned..Check reviews before dropping $70 on the privilege of getting a...
