Great area to go walking. Lots of trails that split off so you can have a different walk each time, and beautiful views. I went Sunday morning, and it was overcast, but it wasnt busy at all. However, there were quite a few dogs off leash, out of the 6 people I saw with dogs 4 had their dogs off leash. I was disappointed because my dog is reactive and we need space, and she is particularly fearful of off leash dogs. But, the wide trails make it easy to get that space, and the owners were all very good at leashing or controlling their dogs as we came by. But, there is an off leash area in the opposite direction where people can take their dogs if they want them to be off leash. I avoided that area deliberately, so to keep it a nice relaxing walk for my dog.

A hidden gem in the heart of Burnaby! Right beside the water, with some pretty beautiful views. There’s a wonderful walk through the park, full of seats and benches to take in the scenery. You can find some fun workout gear in the public areas, and the bathrooms are well maintained. Playground area is pretty unique. There’s also a huge barbecue area with lots of room to set up activities. Open parking lot with plenty of free street parking all throughout the walk. Not much in terms of restaurants or food nearby though, and hard to access with transit.

Burnaby Foreshore Park is an excellent destination for a day out. With its picturesque surroundings and ample amenities, it offers a delightful experience for everyone. The park's well-maintained picnic areas are perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal, while the playground ensures that kids have a blast. The scenic walking trails provide a great opportunity to explore nature, whether on foot or by bike. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, Burnaby Foreshore Park has it all. It's a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike.

This is a great place for going for a leisurely walk along the trail next to the river. You can hear the birds singing or seeing a beaver, river otter, eagles, different ducks that use the area and watch the boats in the river. Its a good place for a family picnic if it's not busy or just sit and relax and take in the moments and even take a camera for that ultimate shot. If you you bring your pet dog please keep it on the leash and clean up after it, as a person who walks there have been issues with other pets while not on leashes and attacking each other or even people. This area is well used for walking and hiking and some good hidden gems for food like the Fraser Park Resturant, Romers Burger Bar. Enjoy the area and have...

Foreshore Park follows the Fraser River shore, hence its name. I park at the foot of Byrne Road, at the parking lot where a lovely walk through old Cottonwood trees starts (Go west). I walk until Boundary road around 45 minutes but you can continue alot farther. There is construction after Boundary so the trail may not be complete at this time. There is a lookout about half way that allows a view up and down the river. You can walk, ride or jog this trail and its good for stroller and electric assist machines. There is a picnic area, (not opened during the pandemic,) volleyball area, dog park,...
