I currently he have a medical issue which makes it hard for me to digest fatty foods. Which means I have to rule out things I love like pork, belly and pate. The reason I'm adding this to this review is it's salient to the rest the review. And it has made me a bit of a Karen when ordering.
We heard about this place from an article in the daily hive. I was intrigued by their menu so we decided to go out for lunch. We had the mini shrimp spring rolls. Which were very good. My lunch companion had the house special sandwich. Which they also said was very good. And we both had the Vietnamese coffee. Which we loved. We ended up having four of them. We were just talking and we mentioned the Vietnamese coffee was a little cooler than we would like once it was done dripping. For the rest of the coffee that we had, the waitress brought a pot of hot water, which we added. Just a touch to the coffee when it was done dripping and it heated it up. And it was perfect.
I wanted the sandwich trio because I wanted to try multiple sandwiches. I wanted one with an egg on it. I wanted to try the softshell crab. And the chicken sandwich that came with it was fine. The sandwich that comes with An egg on it comes with pate which I can't eat. So I ordered the grilled beef with the egg on it. The one with the pork belly I also can't eat. So I made that the soft shell crab sandwich. The grilled lemongrass chicken was fine. Which really means I ordered a dish that doesn't exist on the menu.
The staff was very accommodating. They were friendly and professional. They were very upfront about where there were extra costs and when they didn't know if they could do something they went back and found out. They were very accommodating. To make the small softshell crab was actually quite an expensive extra charge, but I really wanted to try the soft shell crab. It was a small charge for making the sandwich with egg out of the beef, but it was worth it. I would order any of those sandwiches again in their full size.
All the food was very good. The decor was a bit eclectic, and it was nice because we didn't feel like we were in a mall, which we were. Ad. I said before the staff was friendly and professional. They seem to know the right time to come and ask us if we want to stuff and when to just let us talk. We did actually stay most of the afternoon drinking the Vietnamese coffee. We're definitely going to go back and try other things on the menu. I highly recommend this place. The one problem I have with writing this review is i hope it doesn't get so popular that I can't get in. We did go at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon so that we would avoid any sort of lunch crowd. I have to admit I don't know if there is a...
Read moreA large park right beside Metrotown on the east and along the border of Vancouver and Burnaby on the west. There is a mini stadium, playground, and picnic tables on the northwest side of the park, two lakes on the south west, a golf course on the south east, tennis courts on the east and many trails for walking and cycling throughout, although it is more limited on how much trails are designed for cycling. There are plenty of benches available for seating, and a good number of bathrooms. There is parking available on the street and parking lots in the park. It is also accessible by transit, both by bus and skytrain.
I suggest anyone who wants to have a picnic or gathering for family/friends, take a stroll in a quiet environment, enjoy some minor activities like frisbee, or want to see our native ecosystem without worrying about hills is a good place to be. I also suggest coming here where there are some rain, as the smell of the forest when it is wet can be soothing and just as beautiful when it is sunny.
Please note to not feed any wild animals there, especially the eastern grey squirrels. They are not native to our region and they out-compete our native wildlife animals and cause other harm to our environment people may not know about, and feeding only empowers them. So when you see a squirrel in a "begging" position and following you please refrain from feeding any kind of treat.
(Continue to practice social distancing measures and avoid gathering for the time...

Unlike any other park in the city, it offers a variety of attractions and activities for visitors of all ages and interests. You can enjoy a scenic stroll, jog, or bike ride along the long perimeter walkway that surrounds the park, or explore the trails that weave through the majestic old-growth forest. The towering trees, some of which are over a century old, create a stunning backdrop for the park and a habitat for many woodland animals. You might spot squirrels, chipmunks, and even coyotes in the foliage, but please refrain from feeding them as it can harm their health and behaviour. The lower pond is home to ducks, geese, and gulls, while the upper pond hosts colourful carp fish that swim gracefully under the water.
