Read moreDrink price is lower than most places. This is only good thing about this place. It's a Japanese owned restaurant. High celling with a plenty of large tables. A large menu. The foods are not as good as other ones in Vancouver running by Japanese chefs. Chicken karage - Very bad- oily and not meaty at all. It came in a poor way of serving, too. I could see it was made by legs or thigh meats. 4 pieces in one order. Mayo and Sriracha on the side. No house made sauce. No garnish. Natto and Tuna app. - a small, really small portion for $5 ? $6? It was just a bite size. Tuna pieces were from ordinary frozen pieces you can find from any sushi restaurants in Vancouver. It was just Natto, pieces of Tuna and pieces of salad. It was very poorly executed dish with a bite sized. The Sushi....- Shima-aji was very fishy. It was one of their specials. The cut was thick and I appreciated for that. I ordered varieties. Nothing was standing at all and not good. Negitoro was okay. That was the best among all Sushi. One of the servers was working hard. There was no tea refill or any gentle service at all unless I asked. I only did for once. When I asked the bill, the machine came with the older server immediately, though. - Any Guu restaurants in downtown area have better foods with similar or lower price and larger quantity w/ kind servers and greetings. I don't think I will be back to here. No parking, too.- underground parking is a flat rate when I got there in the late evening around $5 something-This is the first Japanese owned restaurants in Vancouver I think it is not...
Read moreIt was not my first time there but this time their service was extremely bad! We were seated at the sushi bar because there was no table. Later on there was a table available and we asked if we could move over since we had 4 people. Their attitude was not friendly at all but they let us move at the end! We literally moved everything ourselves! They didn’t even offer any help. When we finished our food, we stayed and chatted, just like all other tables, we were given the bill without us asking for it. So we just left the bill on the table and we continued chatting. After a while, one of the waitresses brought the credit card machine. We didn’t ask for it! And we asked her to split the bill. The waitress’ attitude was very very rude! Come on, we didn’t ask for a bill at the first place. You brought it in and later on you brought the machine!!! If we asked for the bill, we would ask for spilt bill!
As a service industry, this is unacceptable! I guess they just wanted us to leave as we didn’t even ask for the bill! Our bill was closed to $170 and it’s not a small bill. I don’t think we deserved such bad service. I just have to remind people if you are looking for good service restaurant, this one won’t be your choice.
When we left the restaurant, there was no lineup and there was at least 4 tables like us..... finished food and chatting. The only difference was that we didn’t ordered 4...
