Ok, so I go to this theater to get popcorn because Cineplex has the best popcorn. West Hills is just a 2 min drive from my house, so very convenient when you are having that popcorn crave.
I went there tonight June 16 @ 745pm, the first set of doors were opened. The second were not. All of them were locked. There was a female working by the name of Mattea. She came to the doors and asked how she can help.
I asked her if they were closed. She said yes. I looked at her puzzled and asked where does it say that you are closed. She said, that location is quite slow, so they close the doors 15 mins after the last show that has been purchased to watch is on.
I looked at her dumbfounded and asked again, ok, so where is that posted? We can't even just get popcorn. Mattea said, no you can't get popcorn. I suggest you check online at the show times.
Seriously??? Absolutely ridiculous. Maybe this location should close completely down. This isn't the first time this has happened.
Post on your doors that you are closed. Do something for your customers. Being told, check the showtimes and figure it out is ridiculous. It's not like I was there at 10pm. This...
Read moreTHE ARCADE:
Or lack thereof... Was 6 games, 1 out of order and 2 other ones horribly dated. If there's even one other group in that little room, your selection is severely limited.
SEATING:
I opted for the D Box tickets, assuming that the substantially higher price would've given some modicum of comfort. The seats are by no means adjustable and the "enhanced user experience" was a seat that jostled and tilted you along with the music. I hated literally every second of it.
THE FOOD:
No one expects theatre cuisine to be good but the portions were small and my fountain pop was at least half full of ice.
PARKING:
Perhaps the most frustrating part was showing up at an evening show and seeing that the 30 or so parking stalls were all occupied. I needed to park in a completely different parking lot.
SUMMARY:
This is a perfect example of how a theatres only goal is to separate you from your money with as little effort as possible. I paid almost $300 for vibrating orange seats and the luxury of being disrespected by their...
Read moreI accidentally ordered tickets for the the current day, not the date in the future I had intended. I noticed about an hour after the film would have started. We attempted to call customer support to get a refund or transfer the tickets over to a showing we could actually go to (mind you this was 4 UltraAVX tickets, so $70), and were told by customer support that our tickets were already scanned.
We did not go to the movie. I did not forward the tickets to anyone but my wife, so that she could call customer services to see about a refund. It would be a rather elaborate scam for someone to hack my gmail account just to then physically go and use 4 tickets for The Batman.
We were told that it would be possible to get a refund, if only our tickets weren't somehow scanned. We were told this has never happened before, and that in fact we must have gone to the movie (which would have been screening while we were on the phone with them...).
We will be sticking with Landmark indefinitely unless this is...
