We had tickets for Taylor Tomlinson. The parking attendants had a hard time keeping up with the volume of cars. We (and about 12 other cars) were directed into a full lot. The security check was backed up once we finally parked. Once inside, it was not very clear how or where to pick-up our prepaid skip the line cocktails. The audience was asked to turn phones off, 1 in our group was given a warning for sending a text but other audience members we saw on their phones throughout so it depended on where you sat I guess.. the show started 40 minutes late due to all the parking and security issues. Taylor was really funny once she got started. When it was time to leave, the parking lot was a nightmare. It would have been better if parking staff were directing cars to use all the one way entry ramps to leave (we did this and some cars fillowed us and got out much faster). Bring your patience with you if you attend an event here.

Had a lovely show this past Saturday! Beautiful venue! Bar tenders did a great job moving as quickly as they were able during intermission! My only complaint would be that immediately following the conclusion of the show, we were told somewhat rudely by a worker cleaning the rows of chairs that we needed to leave because the show was over. It had barely been five minutes and I was visiting with my friends because I am from out of town. We joked that the movie theatre doesn't even kick us out that quickly...or as inconsiderately. For the high price of attending such an event, some kindness and courtesy would be appreciated when asking paying customers to relocate for cleaning purposes. Otherwise lovely experience!

We have had season tickets to Broadway Across Canada for the past four years and this last year, we have noticed the sound is not great. We sit second row, first balcony at Centre and the seats are no longer very comfortable as the padding has compressed and the sound over music, which is normal for a musical isn’t great. Both younger and older ears have commented on the sound issues. We do not know if this is BAC or the June’s issue. The building is always clean and service is always friendly from security at the door to servers at the food and drink kiosks.

The show we went to see (Calgary Phil Star Wars showing) was amazing and the conductor was both charismatic and a joy to watch. I found myself watching him and his screen and the musicians more then the movie. It was a lovely evening and we already booked tickets for next year.

The opportunities provided to engage with Star Wars characters, the friendless and helpful nature of the symphony associates was above and beyond.

That said, the auditorium while beautiful with excellent acoustics for this type of event, really left a lot to be desired in terms of comfort. Our seats in left centre were absolutely fine in terms of location and view and listening experience but plan on getting exceptionally cozy with the stranger seated next to you.

Aisle seating does provide limited relief particularly for tall individuals or those with broad shoulders but the seats to be Blunt are really too narrow and the armrests compound this problem further. Do not expect to be comfortable and don’t be surprised when you have odd aches and pains later. I found this facet for such a fine performance environment to be pretty unacceptable. For example the couple in front of us, the poor gentlemen was half absorbing his dates seat and even though she was of extremely diminutive stature it was extremely awkward and uncomfortable appearing.

My 6’3” husband thankfully was able to Shift seats due to a no show but otherwise short of ripping his legs and arms off would have had a far different experience.

Every new arrival around us commented on the seats and how small they were as people crowded into their neighbours space lol.

I know we will not return in the future unless we can get aisle seating so at least one person in our party can be marginally...

It’s been many years since I’ve attended a concert or an event at the Jubilee auditorium. Had occasion to go to a concert tonight. Such a fabulous venue but I’m giving it one star because this place has the WORST uncomfortable seats I have found in over 40 years of attending concerts in my lifetime. Steel and wood framed, narrow and very little padding you are forced to sit on these are nothing less than HORRIBLE, That is unless you happen to be a below average sized person. They are rows of immobile fixed chairs with arms on the chair that do not move and gouge into the sides of you. The chairs themselves are very very narrow. We were with a group of people and just about everybody in the group was complaining about these chairs and how small they were I felt like I was sitting in a children’s gymnasium or something. They were so uncomfortable we actually ended up leaving early. I will not return to this place unless I hear that they have installed seating that came out after the 1960s. They also make you wait Until half an hour before the show before they decide to “open” The actual venue. Why? I have no idea. People were sitting around on the floor and leaning against the wall waiting for the doors to open so they could get to their seats. I will never return to this place. Such an awful experience of what other words would’ve been an enjoyable show. This place needs to be renovated in a very bad way seating wise. The venue itself is wonderful with amazing acoustics. But the seating ruins it. A lot of the lobby area seem to be undergoing renovations there’s a lot of things we’re boarded Off or closed, one can only hope replacing these military era seats is...
