WOW Chicken Kensington — Restaurant in Calgary

THEY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST CHILDREN HERE. THE WORST PLACE TO GO TO AS A FAMILY! In the 7 years that I have been a client at this place, what happened to us on this occasion had never happened to us. We have always gone with friends (without children) and they had never charged us an extra charge for being a group of 5 people and this time we were 3 adults and two children, one 4 years old and the other 1 1/2 years old. The girl who served us charged us an extra charge of 15 dollars for being a group of 5. Our problem is not the extra charge, but it does bother us enormously that they charge for children as if they were adults and also as if it were a party group. And not to mention that we had made an order for 4 dishes that for obvious reasons a 1 1/2 year old baby is not going to eat. Although my husband spoke with the owner or manager of the Restaurant on the phone, he said that it was the restaurant's policy. So we paid the extra charge and if we were loyal customers at this place, this was our last day. Speaking personally, I feel discrimination towards families with children. As I told you at the beginning, we have been clients for several years and this has never happened to us, and this time with children, I feel that it was a way of saying WE DO NOT WANT...

Service and costumer care is just horrible!! Closing time is at 11pm on weekends and 2 times I went there on Friday at 10:17pm and Saturday 10:20pm the restaurant was open but they said we don't have anything to serve!!! So the question is why the restaurant is stay open until 11pm when they don't have enough raw material to cook and serve to customers??!!! And for the 3rd time I went there it was on Saturday night at 10:15pm they said we don't serve at restaurant and it's just for taking out!!! "45 minutes before closing time" !!! However we ordered $40 chicken and fries for take out and after pay for the order we asked for hot sauce on the side and the waiter said there is a $1 charge for a little bit hot sauce if you want to take it on the side!!! Chicken quality was below average and after all I found the management and people who are working at this place are super unprofessional and extremely low level in dealing with...

The WORST experience I've ever had. I went there with a group of 5. There was a girl server there, who didn't do anything but just standing in the register and go on her phone the whole time while we stayed.

WE had to ask for napkins, water, ketchup, literally everything. She did absolutely nothing but taking order and brought food. The most basic stuff you have to do as a server.

Then we go up there to pay, she forces us to pay service charge. It would be fair if she actually did something, but no service at ALL. Why do we have to pay for service charge if we didn't get any service?

She didn't even let us know that there will be a service charge when we entered the restaurant nor when we ordered.

If you are planning to dine-in, I would recommend everyone who sees this to go somewhere else than here if you don't want to waste your time and money.
