There was a bizarre incident that happened here on July 29th at around 5:50. Me and my party entered the stadium as the rest of the crowd was entering as well. Many of the security who was checking bags were letting people with small bags in. Though, some security was not. I happened to have a tiny bag with medication that fit exactly within the lines of the laminated paper display they had that measured the purses. They still did not let me in. They let someone in my party with a tote bag in and MANY other people with full sized backpacks in. I had told an older woman with blonde/dirty brown hair, around 50 -60 or so. It seemed like was the only older woman working that day amongst younger bag check crew. I happened to get in line where this older female bag checker and she had told me my purse was too large. She measured my purse and it was, like I said, exactly within the measurements. She then told me I couldn’t bring it in and I very politely explained to her that my purse was within the lines and that I take medication at a specific time, two times a day. She then, very loudly, and in a hostile and rude manner, said “WHAT MEDICATIONS DO YOU TAKE THEN?? SHOW ME.” First of all, why would you say that loudly so everyone around me could hear? How disgusting. Second of all, I am not required to tell some lady checking my bags what medications I take. That was EXTREMELY unprofessional on her part and very disgusting and inappropriate behavior. I can’t believe someone could even hire staff like that. Shame on her and shame on whoever thought she was fit for that job. I told her, again, in a kind and low tone that I was not required to tell her what medication I take. She then told me she could not let me into the arena if I did not tell her what medication I took. The lady told me that I needed to show her the medication in the bottle or I was not allowed in. My mother then told her what medication it was and the lady still directed me to the coat check - while everyone and their mother were being let in with BIGGER bags than me. Again, it wasn’t a purse, it was a little pocket bag.

I will never forget this experience, how this made me and my family feel, and how nasty this woman was to me, my mother, my boyfriend, friends, coworkers. We told everyone we knew about this experience so hopefully they will steer clear from this woman. They are so disappointed that they will no longer be going to these games anymore. We also no longer look forward to or are interested in any Elks games in the future as this completely ruined our experience that day. We ended up going home early because I was due to take medication. Hire more...

Saw P!NK in concert. Well laid out and had facilities that were adequate for the crowd.

The concert was best I have been to and thankfully the weather was perfect.

One thing made this not the perfect experience it could have been.

I am all for security. Our seats were on the floor and they had people everywhere monitoring who went where, even stamping those with tickets on the floor. Having people at each section to help find seats was great as sections and seats were not well marked.

BUT when the final 2 performers, Sheryl Crow and then P!NK were on stage performing and the audience was not causing any problems, whatsoever, it was NOT necessary to constantly walk up and down the rows obstructing peoples views and it was totally NOT acceptable to stop part way up aisle and stand there blocking people's views when we paid prime dollars for those seats so we could see the stage.

I have been going to concerts since the 70s and have never had security walk up and down aisles during a performance, let alone stop and block views.

They always stand around the outside edges and are available if there is a problem. Im not talking directly around the stage area as I understand the need for them there. This was well back and over from the stage in section B10.

Other than that the concert and stadium were perfect.

Elks game: what an awful experience. I decided to take the family for the family fun day game, because they advertised free kids tickets. Tried to buy online and it wouldn't offer me that deal so I had to call. Guy who answered said that because it was a game day he couldn't do it and would call me back later. Promised my tickets were held. Never called back. I called again a week later and a second guy helped me and actually sent me the tickets. On the day, transit was perfect. No complaints. We get to the stadium and are looking for the family fun zone. Follow a sign half a block in the wrong direction. Come back and find an usher who says we have to go in, leave through gate 2, get a stamp and come back in. Family fun zone was fine, albeit surprisingly hard to find even with directions. When we were done we get in the huge line to get back in, only to be told we aren't allowed in at the main gate and have to get in a separate line at the pass gate. Once we get to through that line we're told we were supposed to skip the line if we had stamps. We ended up missing half of the first quarter. Game was great. Overall it was quite a disappointing experience though. I hear them complaining about not enough fans in the stadium. Now I understand it's a self...

Watched Canada vs. Costa Rica football game for World Cup qualifiers. Real football, unlike the CFL. Very traditional open air stadium that seats 55000+ It's an embarrassment, however, that real grass has not been implemented here. Regardless of climate, we have the technology and resources in the 21st century to make this happen. It's disgraceful and a shame that Canada has chosen to host meaningful football games on an artificial turf field. Furthermore, the "grounds keepers" did an awful job at removing the CFL field lines for the game. Stadium is also too big for crowd chants to be in sync.. lots of echoing chants that end up fading out like a cheap Go Leafs Go chant at the ACC. BMO Field in Toronto is a far superior venue to host every single Canada game in the future until the rest of the fields in Canada decide to plant some seeds. oh, and security at the game was terrible. Fat Tony could have had a sit down with all the 5 families... legit though... no metal detectors.. unless they were invisible. last but not least, the announcer who was introducing the players was awful. He was missing names, introduced Davies twice, missed Buchanan, and was not in sync with the pictures on the big screen. Go Canada Go!

Attended the METALICA: M72 World Tour on Fri, 08,25,2024. Incredibly busy Concert in a open air venue seating just shy of 60,000 people. Expect long lines for extreme largely attended events with pricey food and Beverage. Staff were helpful. City of Edmonton Security doing pat down search in express line let the uniform get to his head power tripping unfornately when clearly called out by myself for his unprofessional conduct as refused to provide his SSIA Licence to get his name. Clear field views. City police onsite for public safety that were approachable and professional as well as St. John Ambulance First aid. This venue much of the time does not have available parking during large events due park and ride transit using lot space. Stadium LRT Station is a 2 min walk from Stadium access points as regular transit option to arrive and depart with moee service frequency before and after events.
