NEW OWNERS from 5 star to 0 if I could give it. This used to be the best place for čvarci and most smoked meats. Never and I mean never in the last 30 yrs we have been going there were bacon bits burnt now every single time they are black and smell like burnt grease. The lady just stands there blinking she has no product knowledge and I should have figured out something was wrong since the place is always empty even on Saturdays whereas before you couldn't get in. My "go to" deli for Hurkah(sp?). I buy it for my Mom and her cousin, as well as my family. I buy my spices and herbs here for Hungarian dishes, as well as treat us to some great kifli. When my Mom was looking for parsley from Hungary, we could not locate it anywhere. (Seeds or otherwise.) I inquired of the proprietress if she had any. This place is absolutely amazing. The only joint where I’m able to buy the charcuterie that I’ve grown up with and dry smoked meats that some dishes just can’t do without!
