Having dealt with countless cruise ports around the world – from busy ones in the Mediterranean to remote spots in places like Alaska and Antarctica – I appreciate good organization. Charlottetown Cruise Port is very good. Debarking and embarking was easy, with not too many security checks, which is always nice. They have a big market inside with lots of souvenirs, food, and non-alcoholic drinks. There's free Wi-Fi, which is a big plus for travelers. What really stood out was the free oysters and soda they offered for a good three hours! That was amazing. The only small issue is they don't do the bag security scanning in the terminal. They do it onboard the ship instead, which can make it a little tight because of space. Still, for a cruise port, this one is well-run and offers good amenities.

Great staff, polite people. Fresh weather. They have a terminal building where it is possible to find souvenir shopping and some.local drinks, there is a public bathroom for both, men and women. There are wheelchair access to the terminal. They accept us dollar and Canadian dollar.

Prince Edward Island is all about Anne of Green Gables. But it is *so* much better than it's rep. One hint: try different beaches and try different PEI oysters (yes, here are several!)
