Buyer beware: I wouldnāt trust a word they say. Zero respect for customersā time, money, or commitments.
I stopped in at Nortons on August 16th for a solder repair on my ankle bracelet after calling to confirm they could do this type of repair since they are a 45 min drive. I pointed out two separate damaged spots to the woman working ā one on the 18k gold portion and another on a silver dangle. She confirmed both repairs, quoted me $40 total, and said it would take two weeks. I agreed and left the bracelet.
I did not hear anything from Nortons until Tuesday, August 26th, when the same woman called to say they found two more spots that would also need soldering. I understood the price would go up and expected maybe $80ā100. Instead, she suddenly told me the cost would now be $200, which made no sense compared to the original quote. She also tried to claim the original quote was only for one solder, but I reminded her that we had clearly looked at two spots together ā one on the gold, one on the silver ā with my husband standing right beside me. At that point she admitted it was true, but said the jeweler had decided on $200 regardless. She promised to take photos of the additional issues and text me shortly, but I never received anything.
On Thursday, August 28th, I called to say I would be coming to pick up my bracelet. Only then did she admit she had āforgottenā to send the photos. At pick-up, I explained how incredibly unprofessional this was: more than tripling the cost after the initial agreement, failing to follow through with photos or updated quotes, and waiting until just before the promised two-week completion date to even tell me there was an issue.
After just moving to the island, I had hoped Nortons would be a trustworthy shop. Instead, this was one of the poorest customer experiences I have EVER had. They changed their quote after confirming it in person, failed to follow through on promised updates, and left me without the repair I needed for an event. Zero would be a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI spent a little over two weeks texting and talking with Mackenzie about getting an engagement ring for my girlfriend. Through several visits to the store with each time being a long visit, Mackenzie was patient and very helpful through it all! There was absolutely no pressure throughout the entire process and she did an amazing job ensuring that the band was in on time and the ring was ready to go when I needed it. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would recommend Nortonās to anyone who is looking for any jewelry! Thank you Mackenzie and thank you...
