Sadly, this review is not a reflection of the wonderful artists... The art was absolutely lovely. I happen to have several pieces from artists featured at this gallery… In fact, some very large pieces. The woman running the gallery was positively obnoxious. She was blatantly rude to my friend & I upon entry. While in the back room viewing some of the art, she questioned in a demeaning tone as to why we were there?!?! She then asked us curtly to leave as she had “people in who were there to purchase…” It was HIGHLY offensive. Insulting. That is how you don’t sell art. I will never purchase art from this gallery. Read moreI feel bad only giving one star as the artwork here is amazing! However, the lady running the store was very pretentious. I walked in and was greeted with a judgmental look instead of a greeting. Two women came in right behind me and they were greeted with a warm hello and asked if the needed help. When I asked about a certain artist the lady seemed annoyed. Instead of helping me further she just gave me the business card and told me all the information was on their website. Will definitely not be returning. This business should learn how to treat potential customers...
Read moreI had the pleasure of discovering this gem on my walk downtown last weekend. I visited both the Butter Gallery as well as the sister gallery shop, Jam. I met both of the owners, Andrea and Suzanne, who were lovely to talk to and happy to answer all my questions. Both woman were very passionate abut the artwork they have on display as well as the unique shop pieces. I have to say this new discovery made my day!
