If buying anything from Sparkling Pools & Spas, beware! Just over a year ago we had to purchase a new control box and heater for our hot tub that we purchased from them in 2006. The control box was $1100 and an additional $450 to install. I don't have the exact figures because even through I have asked many times for and actual invoice, to date I have still not received one. However I did pay the bill using my cc and a phone conversation with the rep from the company - in good faith. After about 3 weeks, the heater stopped working and when I investigate the problem found the wiring from the pump to to control box was burned (tried attaching but I don't have Google Photos) and if my house breaker had not not tripped could very well have burned our house down. This wire was installed by the company's contractor. When I asked about getting it replaced I was told the warranty for the box only covered parts and that I would then have to pay the $150/hr (or thereabouts) labour charge to install the parts. Since I had no paperwork whatsoever and was never told this before buying the new control box, I was not about to throw more good money after bad and elected to cut my losses. I should have gone to court over this but didn't think my chances were great. So I have about a 600lb piece of junk in my backyard now if anyone wants it.
