Pizza Girls | KATCH Seafood - Cole Harbour — Restaurant in Dartmouth

I typically am easy going with food establishments because I’ve worked at multiple different restaurants and I would not typically write a bad review but I was quite disappointed with my meal I ordered today. I ordered a pan fried fish poke bowl off of skip the dishes, before ordering I looked at their instagram page to see if they had any photos of the food and the poke bowls looked quite big and generous with their portion sizes. When I received my bowl the portions of certain items were very stingy, there was barley any lettuce and a lot of the pieces were brown, there was barely any avocado or pico de Gallo to the point where I couldn’t even see it, I asked for jalepnos and It looked like there was about 3 put in my bowl, along with those food items I asked for kale and crispy wontons which I don’t believe I received either in my bowl and if I did it was such little amount that I could barley tell. The only thing I received a lot of were the rice vermicelli noodles, which with how little of everything else was given was very unappealing because it was pretty much just eating noodles. When stuff like this happens i am understanding, but when I went to mix the sauce in my bowl I found a long black hair in the noodles, my hair is blonde so I know it wasn’t my hair. I couldn’t finish the meal at this point. This place is terrible. I ordered the fish and chips with the "made in house" tartar sauce and my wife ordered an order of onion rings, deep fried pickles and coleslaw.

The coleslaw was a repulsive mixture of romaine lettuce, red cabbage and clumps of mayonnaise.

The onion rings were cold, soggy and had the thinnest slices of onion in them that I have ever seen.

The fish was terrible. The batter was supposed to be beer batter. I don't know what it actually was but it was so thin it was see through and not at all fluffy. The fish was rubbery and bland, totally unappetizing. The batter was so over cooked it was blackened

The "made in house" tartar sauce was little tubs of kraft tartar sauce, false advertising, unless of course, they secretly own Kraft. Seems unlikely...

The deep fried pickles were mushy and the batter was soggy. A terrible implementation of a simple fried dish.

Ordered here last night for delivery, they were super quick, hot and tasty upon arrival. Garlic gingers were some of the best around tbh. Thick, fluffy with tons of melty cheese, no cardboard garlic bread from this joint! I also ordered a meat lovers pizza and it was the same. Perfectly cooked and was the perfect doughy consistency. Not too doughy, not overcooked. Crust was great. Lots of toppings but not super packed. I'm not a huge fan of pizza sauce that's not sweet, so the fact that I would order pizza again from here is a MAJOR compliment. It has a tiny little bit of spiciness but nothing that even someone who doesn't like spicy can't handle and enjoy. Very happy with my whole experience! They even have specialty pizzas and can't wait to try those next...
