One of the top parks we've brought the kids to in all of Ontario (and we have been to a lot!). Safe for the kids (wood chips and sand), lots of different areas, and a lot of opportunity for pretend / imaginative play. The playground is near the water and other green open spaces. Highly recommend for kids under 12. There is a designated area for "tots".

I think this is definitely one the best recreational sports in Canada. It has washrooms, parking, kids playground, gazebo, jetty, spot to launch boats plus excellent view. I come here every year even though it's a 3hr drive from my residence

My daughter and grandkids and myself had a great day trip. They had a PA Day. So we decided to do a day trip. Fantastic time.

Port Carling's premier beach park, good for walking your dog, or airing your sugar addled, smart phone addicted children on the extensive play structures... Local teens/delinquents? occasionally use the basketball court... Hurrah 4 them! Swimming is popular here too. Two smaller beach parks, Indian Crescent and Archdekin are also on the river to the north AND east, but with less facilities and capacities. For tourist interest, try walking around the downtown and small island with museum too. Those of you with feet and legs might try the 2.5 km Hazelwood trail on the north side of town... Come-on people - X-sir-size......

We were looking for a place to have lunch and read by the water, and with some difficulty found Hanna Park. It's a nice spot with a small beach and roped off swimming area, although there was an advisory at the time. Lots of playground equipment that was closed because of covid. There are many shady spots to sit, several benches, public washrooms, and lots of parking, but I don't know how busy it is when the water is safe for swimming. It seemed to be a very popular place to walk a dog, and one or...

It's a nice little park with a swimming area, gazebo and a play area for kids. There is probably a basket ball area as well. You have the option to sit in the shade from trees or find a sunny spot depending on your preference. It's open till 11:00. There are picnic benches to use. We brought stove and BBQ and had a really good time. Water was not cold. There is also public washroom. Parking was not an issue. It is also close to convenience and...
