I recently had the pleasure of taking the Lady Rosseau Lake tour in Port Carling, Muskoka, and I must say that it was a delightful experience. The one and a half hour tour provided an incredible sightseeing opportunity, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the world-famous Muskoka region. One of the highlights of the Lady Rosseau cruise was the expansive lake views that greeted us as we embarked on the journey. The crystal-clear waters of the lake stretched out before us, offering a picturesque backdrop of natural beauty. It was a feast for the eyes, and we couldn't help but be captivated by the stunning vistas surrounding us. Another aspect that stood out during the tour was the world-class cottage architecture that lined the shores of the lake. Muskoka is renowned for its luxurious cottages, and the Lady Rosseau cruise provided an up-close and personal glimpse into this opulent world. The cottages we saw were truly awe-inspiring, showcasing exquisite designs and impeccable craftsmanship. It was a treat to witness these architectural marvels from the comfort of the cruise ship. One of the aspects that could have enhanced the overall experience of the Lady Rosseau tour would have been the inclusion of an audio guide or narration. While the sights alone were magnificent, having a knowledgeable guide explaining the history of the lake and its development would have added depth and context to the journey. Additionally, learning about the historical significance and the value of some of the properties we passed would have been fascinating and educational. Despite the lack of audio or guided commentary, the Lady Rosseau cruise still provided a calm and relaxing experience. The gentle sway of the ship, coupled with the serene atmosphere, created a peaceful ambiance that allowed us to unwind and appreciate the tranquility of the surroundings. It was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Overall, the Lady Rosseau lake tour in Port Carling, Muskoka, was a memorable experience. The breathtaking lake views, the magnificent cottage architecture, and the serene atmosphere all combined to create an enjoyable and unforgettable journey. While the addition of an audio or guide narration would have further enriched the experience, I would still highly recommend the Lady Rosseau cruise to anyone seeking a glimpse into the beauty of Muskoka's lakes and cottages.

Mixed feelings about today's experience but overall happy with the end result. Showed up at 11:45 for a 12:00 departure. After standing around till about 12:15, I overheard a couple of other passengers talking about how the boat time had been changed to 1:00. After rechecking the email several times, I found in very small print a note saying the time had been changed to 1:00. The fam and I discussed that if they were going to change the time they should probably call or make sure it's more prominent in the email they sent. Decided to make the best of it and walk up the hill to grab a coffee at the local cafe (York and Mason). 10 out of 10 Americano. After returning the first mate stated that they hadn't been able to get a hold of the captain and the owner was calling another captain to come drive the boat that day but no guarantees when or if he'd arrive (at this point we were frustrated and were debating just going back into Bracebridge to do some shopping). Then shortly after a bright orange Subaru pulled in and out emerged Captain Steve to save the day. Once we got underway the boat ride was very enjoyable and Captain Steve did a great job of pointing out different cottages of note. It was hard to hear but once you went on to the top deck near the front where the speakers were it was very clear. Got some awesome pictures and the family had a good time. Overall great time on the boat. Just getting on the boat and underway was the issue.

Booked the tickets online and went on the weekend (Saturday). $40 per person for 1.5 hour cruise seemed reasonable to me. The directions are clear and if you run into a situation, you can call and they are willing to help you. I called to check about parking and was suggested that there is free parking at the library (which is about 7-10 min walk). The cruise was clean, ample sitting was available and the weather was fabulous. There is some food and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) available for purchase. It's a nice 90 min on water with occasional information about history and landmarks by the captain. You have the option to sit and relax in the lower cabin or enjoy views from upper deck. I was hoping to have quiet time but there was music all along (which is understandable as some people would prefer music). It is a scenic cruise with multi million cottages around (some with waterplanes). If you are lucky like me, you may be able to catch a glimpse of seaplane. The lake also has lot of other water sports / activities and it's fun watching it from the deck. The staff was friendly ane they make you feel welcome without intruding upon your private space or time. The process of booking and boarding is simple - no hassles whatsoever. I am rating 4 stars as the activity overall didn't seem accessible but otherwise it's 5 star for the cost and the experience.
